Heat, Headaches but So Much Fun! My June Birthday TR (Trip Wrap-Up 10/12)

YAY! What a fun morning! I am sooo excited to do RnRC in January! I think our plan will be to get 4 FPs and then take turns going with Miss Em. Our little NAt will NOT go anything that goes upsidedown!

I was thinking the same thing - there's our friend Tony with the proper t-shirt!!

Hahaha! He didn't bring all of his Bills shirts like he did in January. And yeah, I totally broke Disney rules by running, but those FP's are a hot item! My family has been enjoying this weather but me, not so much. I really can't stand the heat so I'm pretty miserable. We don't have a/c, so sleeping has been rough.

He had to sneak a Bills shirt in there somehow! You do need to cut through the shops if you arrive when there is a large crowd already. I totally recommend it!

I was literally running! I was dodging men, women, children...I was on a mission! And by the time I got to the FP machines, I was sweating!!! I liked my shirt too. Very comfy!

Good update!! I think it's hilarious that you ran But I don't blame you. Sorry the single rider line was horrible for RNRC! But yay for riding ToT! And a 2 hour nap sounds INCREDIBLE right now!

I like being able to stretch out my TR. It helps me relive my trip and puts a smile on my face.

That single rider line was the most ridiculous thing I encountered that trip. Just crazy! That nap really did make us feel wonderful.

Oh no. It was an all out run! I guess there were some characters out by the hat that morning and they were trying to get people to come over to them! Tony said he saw Donald trying to wave people over to him! Sorry Donald, but TSMM is more important first thing in the morning. I was so one-minded that morning that I didn't even notice the characters!

We really did get a lot done on this trip. I had planned a lot (which I love to do) and everything worked out so nicely.

Hey loyal readers!!! I have a busy weekend ahead of me, so I'm working on an update right now. I'm just uploading the last of my trip pics to photobucket as I type this. I have to do all of my uploading on my desktop computer and it's super slow (and super loud!).

Today, we're all going to a surprise 30th birthday party! I must admit, I've never been to a surprise party before and I'm really looking forward to it. Then, I have my dance team's end of the year party tomorrow. Our season ended in May, but we always have our party over the summer. I can't wait to see my girls because I haven't seen most of them since our last game is May!!!

Oh goody an update! I've been reading along since we got back just haven't really been posting much. I've been in a "missing Disney funk". To help get out of it I started a report. If you get a chance come check it out.

Day Three
June 26th
Around 3:30 or 4pm


When we got to the bus stop, a bus pulled up right away. However, we had to wait quite awhile to get on because they had to load on 2 or 3 people in wheelchairs. The people behind us in line were being quite rude and saying very mean things. Anyways...Upon arriving at the MK, we grabbed FP's for BTMRR (40 min standby). Splash Mtn was at 50 min, so we went to Adventureland.

Pirates was a 10 min wait, so off we went! The line was moving fairly quickly, but it was pretty hot in those caverns! Sweaty people + a hot area = stinky!!! After our pirate adventure, we rode the Magic Carpets (only a 15 min wait).

We decided it was time for a snack so we went to my favorite place in all of WDW: AHOLA ISLE! Madison had a vanilla soft serve, Tony had the swirl, and I of course had the classic Dole Whip. They are by far my favorite snack in all of WDW. So delicious and refreshing. I could really go for one right now!

After our delicious snack we headed over to Tomorrowland and hit up the Laugh Floor. Not only did they use our corny joke, but Madison was Boo!! She was so cute! After getting in all of our laughs, we grabbed FP's for Buzz and went over to the CoP. That song always gets stuck in my head! By the time we were done singing "It's a Great Big Beautiful Tomorrow", it was time to use our FP's for Buzz. However, when we went to go use them, the ride was shut down. People were pouring out of the line like crazy, so we decided not to stick around. By this time, I think it was close to 8pm. We decided to try and stake out a spot for the first SpectroMagic parade.

We found a lovely piece of pavement across from Ye Olde Christmas Shoppe and had a seat. While we waited for Spectro to begin, we all looked at the Guide to the Magic and talked about what we wanted to do after the parade. We still had our FP's for BTMRR and we were super excited to be able to ride it at night. Ok, are you ready for a lot of Spectro pics? Again, I apologize for the quality. I had to use my action setting on my camera instead of my nighttime one.

Spectro was great as usual and once it was over, we moved closer to the hub to get a spot for Wishes. We couldn't make it all the way over to Main Street (my fav viewing area for Wishes), so we stood at the railing on the bridge (right near Sleepy Hollow). The fireworks ended up being a bit behind a tree, but it was ok.

Before Wishes even began, I started taking pics of the Castle. I was trying to take a pic each time the Castle changed colors! Here you go!

After Wishes, we fought our way through the crowd and went over to BTMRR. The FP line moved super fast and the CM's working there that evening were hysterical! They were getting everyone all pumped up, clapping, singing "We Will Rock You", stomping their feet, high 5ing guests. It was like a party! Everyone would hoot and holler when they came back into the station. What a great group of CM's. Madison was a little nervous at first since it was so dark out, but she ended up having a great time. BTMRR is a must-do at night from now on! We didn't really know what to do next, so we went back to Adventureland and rode Pirates again (5 min wait). We took the left queue this time so we could look for Hidden Mickeys. I think we found some, but I don't remember. Afterwards, Madison bought the pirate sword that she had wanted to buy earlier. We didn't want to carry it around all night, so we told her we'd come back.

At this point, we had to make sure we beat the 11pm Spectro, so we booked it over to Fantasyland. EMH had just begun (11pm) and we decided to see Mickey's Philharmagic (Madison really enjoyed it the day before). Once we sat down in the theater, I could hardly keep my eyes open. I was beat! After the show, we decided it was time to head back to Pop, but not before a few more pics.

Regrettably, we didn't get any photopass pics taken that evening. I'm pretty bummed about it, but we took a lot back in January. It was around midnight by the time we got on the bus! Needless to say, we were all asleep within minutes once we got back to Pop. It had really been a wonderful day.

Great update! I loved the CM's at BTMRR too during our EMH! We got on and they started a slow clap. Of course, me, being totally into it, when we pulled out, let out a "Woo!" That then everyone else on the train did too...it was so much fun!! And I can't remember doing the ride at night before, now it's a must-do! Awesome!!

DH and my brother agree about riding BTMR at night. They did it many times. They were trying to make it more appealing for themselves. Sometimes they rode the whole time with their arms up and eyes closed. It was all very silly, and I didn't appreciate being bumped into by DH when he had his arms up.
