Heart Palpitations-updated-went to Dr.

I have them from anxiety too. I have had panic attacks for the past 12 years, they are awful and the onset of one usually starts with the heart palpatations.

I have gone running to the Dr. so many times because they scare the poopy out of me and I've had EKGs and nothing ever shows up..........My Dr. finally told me that there is Nothing wrong with my heart, just my mind

LOL!! Well, that's good news...I guess. ;)

Been there! Had the Holter monitor on for 24 hours. What a joy writing down what's going on when you feel it. And the night I slept with that thing on, I had a call in the middle of the night that woke me up...heart racing! LOL! You can bet I wrote that down! :scared1: The cardiologist never did come up with anything specific. Also had a couple EKGs, echo/doppler, stress test, nuclear stress test then threw me in that thing and looked at my heart. :earseek:  I really wish they hadn't put the monitor where I could see it! :scared1: She did everything including blood work. She finally said the only thing left to do was a cath! :scared1: :scared1: I wasn't going there! With them not coming up with anything, I figured it must be all the stress and anxiety. Haven't had it happen in a few years now. :) Hope it turns out to be a minor thing for you!!

Holter monitor-that's what she said. (LOL I thought she said "halter"! ) Sounds like it's going to be a fun experience!

Thank you. :):)

LOL! I don't know if it will be fun, but it WILL be one you won't forget! :teeth:

I've had them for years. They started when I bottomed out on potassium after spending hours in the heat painting my deck. I did the monitor thing and had a EKG and Sonogram of my heart. The doctor said they are not dangerous, just disturbing. I really notice them much more if I am stressed or if I've had too much caffine. Try not to worry.
