Heart Palpatations?

My symptoms sound like yours - went through all the same tests....my palpitations would come about even if I was just sitting and relaxing or lying down trying to sleep.

Turns out I have Syndrome of Inappropriate Tachycardia - my cardiologist told me that so long as it didn't bother me, it was pretty much a mild condition and I did not have to do anything about it. If it started bothering me, he could prescribe medication, but honestly, it doesn't bother me much.

I hope the information helps - I'm no doctor, but wanted to let you know you are not alone. Good luck, and hope everything is ok with you as it was with me. :)

Yes!

I get the exact same thing out of nowhere & I'm usually just sitting watching TV. I "feel" it real strong in the base of my throat & it makes me cough/clear my throat & then it's gone.

It always had me freaked out since both of my parents have had heart attacks & my mom had hers when she was in her 30s! :scared1:

that's why my doctor thinks i have that tachycardia called POTS, because the other symptoms i have(getting light headed whenever i stand up and my blood pressure drops, intolerance to heat, hands and feet are always cold, tired all the time, etc) which all fit in the symptoms, as well as the palpatations.

yeah it doesn't really bother me all the time. it just makes me nervous when i DO get it, you know?

thanks!

my cardiologist actually told me that coughing will sometimes help make it go away.
