Heard there are great cupcakes somewhere in DHS?

We had awesome cupcakes at Starring Rolls at DHS. They could easily be shared by two people. YUMMO!

Starring Rolls has some yummy ones. DH & I split a Butterfinger Cupcake last trip. It was so yummy but very rich - we couldn't finish it. Though I did finish off the buttercream frosting....

FYI---Found out the hard way, Starring Rolls closes much earlier that other DHS restaurants.

Had an amazing cupcake (choc with vanilla icing and sprinkles) at the villian's sweet shop. Def big enough to share.

You would be referring to Starring Rolls. Yes they have awesome cupcakes, huge too!! Be sure to be there before 1 or 2pm as they don't stay open all day and run out early.

Here are our meals from there.
A butterfinger cupcake and a peanut butter/chocolate one. Oh my....the peanut butter was out of this world.

Not a fan of the ones at DHS mainly because they put too much icing on them at Starring Rolls, and sometimes the cake seems to be hard on the outside. I suggest the vegan bakery in Downtown Disney called BabyCakes NYC. Best cupcakes I have ever had, and i'm not vegan or even vegetarian. Their icing is not too sweet, not too bland. The cake they use is more moist than that of a regular cupcake. And they're sugar free, which is good for me being a Diabetic. They do an amazing Red Velvet with vanilla frosting.

Just reading along, but thanks for all the tips everyone, will definately be trying these places out on our June trip. I love cupcakes. :goodvibes

I think the ones at Starring Rolls have an overly sweet/chemically taste. We found the cupcakes served at the QS at the CR (Contempo Cafe, I think) are much, much better!

Where is this in DTD? I didn't see it. Sounds fab!:)

The cupcakes at BabyCakes are not sugar free. They don't use any cane sugar but they're sweetened with agave nectar. This is easier on the blood sugar than cane sugar but I assure you it is still a type of sugar.

Everything at the DTD BabyCakes location is vegan and gluten free and sweetened with agave nectar instead of sugar and they use coconut butter for the base of the icings. We ordered a cake from them for DD13's birthday. It was delicious though expensive, but since DD13 can't eat gluten, milk or eggs, it was totally worth it for a delicious store bought birthday cake. That being said, you could taste that it wasn't a regular cake. It was much milder than a typical gluten free cake would taste but still definitely noticeably different from typical bakery flavour. My DH who won't typically touch any of our kids' gluten free items ate a second piece of the cake. DH is a type 2 diabetic and the dessert didn't affect his blood sugar the way a typical iced cake would.

You want the red velvet one from Starring Rolls. Trust me. I almost died when I ate it-
