Hear me out on this...

First trip ever?

WOW!

Congratulations! :cool1:

Thank you, can't wait!!

:rolleyes1
I think it's interesting - but actually very brave of this person to post that in here..
However, not quite along these lines, but maybe somewhat, what I don't understand is that I'll bet your bottom dollar that the second we'd mention ANYTHING that had to do with 'being intimate with our significant others' in here - yes the privacy of our own GLBT board, we'd probably get bashed by alot of UNcool straight people.

For example, in one of the threads in another forum on here, there is a convo going on about how a couple of parents can get some 'alone time' in WDW even though they have their kids along, because apparently they just 'can't wait' for 8 days. Now, in all honesty, don't you take your kids to Disney because you WANT to spend time with them!? IMHO I think you can wait 8 days to get your giggles on.. why would you really feel the need to send your 5 year old and 14 year old off on their own in a public place (granted it's Disney, but bad people are everywhere) just so you can do the deed?

I personally find that appalling, but over in that thread, people just think

"Oh this is a valid question, ha, well here's what you can do." :sad2:

But I can't help but think if we here in this board were to bring that up - that those people wouldn't run over here faster than a fireman to water just to bash us for even THINKING about being intimate in WDW with one of our kids - let alone we might even HAVE kids because we're not straight.

But guranteed, if I were to go over there, and give my opinion about it - I'd probably be squished like a bug because of who I am. I think this post was handled with the utmost courtesy, and nicer than I could have ever handled it.
You guys are great! I'm glad to be a part of your group!

That being said, has anyone ever used one of those newfangled fridge's that you plug into the cigarette lighter of your car? I was contemplating getting one of those for our trip. DW is a HEALTH NUT and refuses to eat anything other than what I've packed for her.. a fridge (instead of a cooler w/melting ice) would be an awesome way to do it.. but the only ones I've seen hold only 6 12 ounce pop cans. Just wondering if that is a decent size or if I'm wasting my $$?

:rainbow:

Shhhh, you people don't have sex remember? :rolleyes1 HAHAHA! I'm with ya on the double standard 100%. I haven't seen that thread yet but gee, I'm wanting to get lucky on vaca too :confused3 I mean not all the time but it's a magical place right? I dunno, guess I never put much thought into it.

BUT, I did buy my son and Brother one of those lighter fridges year before last for Cmas and they love them- still. My Bro uses his while on the road and my Son uses his in his room to hide his soda and snack stash. The ones I got were $25/ea and came with an A/C adapter. I say get one!

"What you won't see is the men in chaps with no pants under, men in thongs, and women in transparent togas grinding to pulsing music."

Well now I'm depressed. QUOTE]

Darlin', I have a cure for your depression - Labor Day Weekend in the French Quarter of New Orleans, Southern Decadence...

All the chaps and juleps you can handle -

Thanks for your post!

Ew no, those Cajun people live there... HAH! Kidding, I'm half Cajun myself :cool1: LOVE Nawlins!

For all of those going to WDW for Gay Days, I hope you have a great time. I will be there with my husband, as well. We didn't even know there was such a thing as Gay Days when we booked the trip, but it doesn't matter.

i just came over here to see if i could get a feel for what to expect. Sounds like we all just be having a BLAST!!!!!!!!!!!

Pst guess what? WE'RE GOING TO DISNEY! WOOT!

Can you provide a link to that thread? I'm curious...:rotfl:

Thank you!

I'm sorry but why on earth would you want to spend all of that money for two rooms just so you could "be intimate" a few time on your trip? Seems crazy to me.

Because lots of people are stupid and can't keep their pants zipped for more than 4 hours at a time, apparently!

We are certainly not prudish people either, but in all of our trips to WDW, we still haven't done anything other than sleep in the beds in the hotels....and we don't even have kids! For us, we have found that there is something particuarly unsexy about letting your inner child out to play.

We really have got to take a more adult vacation someday.

The reason that thread bothers me so much is because when I was a freshman in college, my roomate had sex in our room one night when he "thought I was completely asleep". Yeah....scarred...for....life! :scared:

Ew, Skinimax 3D

May be right about that, I hear the French Quarter is fun.....

:lmao: :rotfl2: :rotfl:

OMG, I was not out, even to myself, when I was a college sophomore. My roommate Vicki and this girl from across the hall, Mishe, would go out and come back stinkin' drunk all of the time. I would get woke up several times a weekend either by them just being stupid drunk or by them doing things that "straight" girls with boyfriends just shouldn't be doing to one another. I lived in a state of ticked off, until she finally moved out!

I haven't thought about that in years. I think it's part of the college experience that I tried to drink away in the years that followed. Hmmmm....I wonder whatever happened to those two now? Maybe they are the ones that are posting to the thread! :lmao:

BWAAHAHAHA!

Oh god, thankfully it wasn't in my "view". :rotfl2: I wanted to just get the heck up and run out the door, but then I would have seen something...

See now? I woulda taken pics and sold em..... :rolleyes1

^^ Yep thats the one! Thanks for gettting to it for me, I was AFK for several hours! My DW and I have had a really good time freaking out about that thread for the last two days...

I saw that thread too. When it first started I thought that they would get bashed ... but nope, everyone was supportive and giving them suggestions. It seems strange to me that they're planning a family vacation but 'alone time' is first and foremost on their minds.

We now have kids and dont feel like explaing to our 5 yr old what this is.

Is it really *that* difficult to come up with the phrase "because they love one another?" :sad2:

I'm sorry -- I've read the entire thread and I get the loving and tolerant vibe the rest of you are putting off, but damn it, I'm tired of being patient with the morons who are raising the next generation of bigots.

Sorry. It's where I am today. Just. Not. In. The. Mood.

I completely understand how you're feeling – especially with some stress that I've been under lately. When I see the traditional “gay days” threads my inclination is to jump in but I try to just take a deep breath and walk away. Unfortunately, ignorance will always exist. Sometimes it's hard rising above it all. There's a segment of society that views us all as oversexed exhibitionists. I truly feel sorry for those people and their children because they base the entire world on their tightly held stereotypes. They refuse to see the reality that most of us are so boring that we're invisible. Hopefully they'll learn something from all the CSPs that support us. Thanks CSPs!!

And this is after a few glasses of cab so hopefully it's lucid!

What I find strange is planning a family vaca around having sex too. :crazy2: No, what I find really strange is asking ppl I really don't know how to sneak in a little Pokey and Gumby if ya know what I mean.... Sssh! :p I know Pokey and Gumby aren't Disney characters leave me alone. Bambi and Thumper just didn't work. ANYHOO.....

That in itself would turn me off. I'd be thinking "ohhh baby...hey you know
what? Such n such was right this IS a perfect way to....." :scared: Are ppl gonna be asking if she took their advice and how many times they did it? Is that gonna be in her trip report? (still looking for the smiley tossing it's cookies bare with me) Sorry but if I were to sneak in a little action I don't want ANYONE knowing about it cept my hubby. Besides, I've been a Mom for 16 years now and I think I can figure it out ALL by myself if need be.

I'm sorry, I am laughing myself into a fit thinking about seeing ppl in the park wearing buttons that say "Congratulate me, I "did it" last night!"

I'd post over in that thread but it would only escalate into a war.
