We've successfully made fresh hamburgers without freezing them. My recipe calls for both an egg and breadcrumbs. The other thing that we've found it that it helps to have the grill well cured before putting on the burgers. They sometimes fell apart (even with the eggs and breadcrumbs as binders) on our old grill, but the grate is so much better on the new one we don't have that problem anymore.
We're making orange/ginger chicken breasts on the grill this evening. Not sure what we'll do as a side. I have some zucchini, but not enough for all of us, and the supermarkets here are closed for the holiday.

Don't know anything about how my hubby cooked them, so this could have been part of it, but my meatloaves always fall apart, so it's probably me
