I got a 1099 form in the mail for money I took out of my spending acct. to pay medical bills. Do I have to pay tax on this? This is the first year I've had a HSA so I wasn't sure how it worked. Thanks!

I don't think so. We got a form for our HSA too, but I am pretty sure that that money is pre-tax because it's associated with the high deductable health plan setup that we have through DH's work.

I got one too. I entered it into Turbo Tax and it asked me if I used all, part or none for medical expense. I checked all and it didn't impact the amount of return/owed at all.
