Trying to purchase PAP online using Special Offer (Exp. 4/30). Kept saying it did not recognize me as a member even tho I was accessing the Perks page from the DVC Home Page after logging in as a Member!!!....Chatted with MS & they said it is a techie glitch they are aware of & trying to resolve...Just call them instead for now.

The same thing happened to me last Saturday.

I finally gave up and called MS and purchased the passes. I asked if I would get an email confirmation/receipt and he told me I would. After waiting (and waiting and waiting and ...) with no confirmation email, I call MS again and this rep said that they do not send out confirmations - those are sent only for DVC reservations.

I asked what would I need to do if there was any problem getting/activating my pass at Guest Services and was told "No Problem", just call MS and they would provide the confirmation number - which would certainly be convenient waiting through the phone queue when MS is open and impossible when MS is closed.

I wrote to dvcmembersatisfactionteam@disneyvacationclub.com and did get a call back - saying the same thing about the "techie glitch" that they know about and are trying to fix (which is also convenient on a limited offer for DVC members - I suspect it will be fixed on May 1 after the program ends). She told me that she will pass along the suggestion about confirmation receipts (I had pointed out that I could have printed one myself had I been able to make the purchase online).

She also offered to send me an email with the information - which was sent later that day, but only the confirmation number ... no receipt for the $1,000+ transaction.

Not cool, DVC!

Hmmmm..... NOT COOL at all, DVC!! Cannot believe they won't send an e-receipt! I'm still living in the 20th century & even I can do that for our small e-business.

I'm calling today to purchase mine & I have to say that just having a verbal exchange with only a verbal conf # makes me nervous! It will be months before I activate our passes!
C'mon DVC! Get it together!!
Thanks for the info, Doc! :thumbsup2

Eh. This is true not just for this deal but any purchase made through MS. So, hard ticket events no receipt, just confirmation number. I would be surprised to see this change. DVC is good at getting your money. No receipt means no reminder that you just spent x amount of $$$.

I had the same experience this week. It worked fine in March when I bought them for DW and I through the DVC website link. We got the e-mail confirmation then, but not for the one I purchased this week for DS8. The CM I worked with did not mention a confirmation e-mail and I did not ask. I just put the confirmation number in my iPhone and now it's on all of our devices through the cloud. I also linked it to my son's MDE profile.

Hopefully they fix this before 4/30, otherwise any procrastinators may be out of luck when MS closes that evening.

If the confirmation number can be linked to your MDE account, you would know the transaction was good right now and later you will be able to make any FP+ selections (when the window opens). If MS didn't give you the will call number, I'd call back and get it.

FWIW, I was able to link my will-call number to MDE and had no trouble at all with either linking, making FP+ selections, or customizing MBs. (Just before our April trip, I also got the special MB package for annual passholders). I also had no problem when I went to activate the pass at Guest Relations.

But we aren't planning any trips right now so can we do this :confused3

It seems this problem will be conveniently fixed on May 1 after promo ends. I had to call MS as well to purchase. I was ok with that and went ahead and purchased on phone. That was the part I was ok with. The part I wasn't OK with is when she said I wouldn't get a receipt or anything of record other than through MDE. I wasn't happy at all. Customer Service/MS wi be getting a letter from us if we have any problems activating our AP and taking away from our vacation.

Tried purchasing my DVC AP's this morning. Couldn't do it with Safari or Chrome, but Firefox worked.

Yes, you should be able to link the will call number for your PAPs or APs to MDE even if you don't have a reservation at this time.

I was able to purchase my AP on line on 4/23, it took 4 tries. I did receive a email confirmation.

Carol, do you foresee any issues if we purchase 4 APs on the phone at the same time - would they give us 4 confirmation numbers or should we run it as 4 separate transactions do you think so we can link to MBs? Thanks!

I bought 3 PAP's at the same time and got one confirmation number. When I added the one confirmation number to my MDE account, the 3 passes showed up. I then assigned the passes to each family member (myself, my wife, and my daughter). The pass associated with my wife disappeared off of my page, and showed up on my wife's MDE account. My daughter's and mine are still on my page.

Waiting on hold for MS because I just experienced the same trouble doing it online. Disney websites/IT never fails to frustrate me. Maybe I'll hang up and try Firefox so I can get an email confirmation.

Firefox didn't work for me either. I get this red error message on both:

We can no longer identify you as eligible to purchase the item(s) selected. Please sign in and then select the items(s) again.

Fortunately I didn't hang up so I'm still waiting on hold and listening to the Carousel of Progress song. Maybe Disney missed the boat on the progress part or maybe it's just a dream away.

I had this happen to me last week. After 4 days of trying to do it online i found a work around.

Log in and go to annual passes. Add the price of the premium passes for all guests to your cart and click check out. On the review page click the x and remove those from your cart. A new page will come up under continue shopping click on annual passes then add the premium passes and you can check out with the discounted prices. No more error.

I had to do this 3 days in a row last week to get tickets and just tried it again now and it still works.

I just purchased 3 premium passes via the website Wednesday (4/23). Once I was actually able to find the way to do it and get the special pricing, it seemingly worked. I picked the 3 people to assign the passes to and all seems well. They appear as passes assigned to each of us and allow for FP+ selections once our window opens. Fingers crossed everything keeps working.
