Heads Up!- OT (sorry!)

Ok I know this if off topic but I just wanted to let all you (future) brides and grooms know that Haunted Mansion is down for rehab all summer. I know many of you have weddings or are planning trips down this summer so I just wanted you to be aware. It's always kind of a bummer when you visit and one of the Classics is not operating! I'm not too sure why they decided summer would be a good time for this, but they did.

I saw that yesterday. Even though im not getting married this summer, we already have 3 trips to the parks planned during the time its down...and thats one of my fave rides! oh well...they did need to refurbish it. I got tired of the ride breaking down periodically and lying on my back for 5 minutes as we were headed to the graveyard lol.

Just to add this in that Spaceship Earth will also be closed for much of the summer and the fall.

Very True. Although Spaceship Earth should be pretty neat when they open it again. Before the shut down, they had already previewed some of the new things in that area after the ride. One, for instance, is building a body in 3-D. It was fun! I'm looking forward to that one reopening.

I'm glad we won't be going on a trip again until January since SE is my parents favorite ride and HM is DF and my favorite ride. I can't wait to see them open again. Thanks for the heads up!

It will be so worth it, though...When the Haunted Mansion opens up, it will be all spiffed up - and it may even have some of the new effects we got last year at Disneyland's Haunted Mansion!
