Member Services Closed December 4, 2014 to Accommodate System Updates

Member Services will be closed on Thursday, December 4, 2014 to accommodate system updates and will reopen normal operating hours on Friday, December 5, 2014 at 9 am ET.
Please note that DVCMember.com along with Online banking, loans and annual dues payments will also be unavailable during this downtime.
All of us at Disney Vacation Club appreciate your understanding as we update our systems, and we look forward to welcoming you "home" again soon.

Sometimes they are making changes to to the entire WDW systems, that has happened before. Doesn't mean it is specific to DVC.

I don't know how they do things, but I would imagine that they would want people to have time to book in advance.

Construction isn't complete and sales haven't even been announced, seems a little pre-mature but you never know.

I don't know how they do things, but I would imagine that they would want people to have time to book in advance.

They have to declare units into inventory before it would be available for booking which hasn't been done afaik.

The odd thing is the CMs being scheduled to stay there in March. That's even a long time in advance to announce that from what we've seen on the past. With recent resorts they also have always had sales for at least a few weeks before they open the resort for booking and I'd never dream they would open it for booking to all members without a period for poly buyers to book.

Be that as it may it shouldn't take a system update to add the Poly booking. I suspect this is something more for the entire System and not DVC specific.

Of course, the 4th is the 7 month window starting date for me to book Grand CA.
The announcement states member services will be open 9am on 5th, but I wonder if the online booking option will be back online earlier. Anyone know?

Well, I tried to log on just now @ 10 minutes before midnight (12/3 @ 8:50 pm my time) and the site was already down. Tried to log onto to MDE and all I got was the decapitated snowman, so either it's system wide or it affects DVC member's access to other systems or I'm just jinxed.

We are in the midst of closing on our first resale contract. The title company indicated today that Disney's system is down and they cannot process any transfers through 12/9. We need to bank our 2014 points by Jan. 31st (June UY). Feeling anxious about getting this finalized!
