This afternoon, on the way walking from Epcot to DHS, we stopped at Seashore Sweets for an ice cream cone. DD (11) was putting her money away after we left the shop when she was attacked by those real big seagulls. Knocked the cone out of her hand and scared the living daylights out of her. The lady in the shop gave her another without charge, and they commented on how the gulls get real agressive in the summer.

So be careful of the crazy birds.

We saw this happen to a woman at SAB over at the BC. I felt bad for her. Also, they have been really bad if you try and sit out at the Boardwalk Bakery. We just get our bakery and leave it in the bag until we get a little further away and then eat it.:)

Seagulls are so aggressive! If people start feeding them it just makes it worse-think shark feeding frenzy. We used to live in Howell NJ (not far from the coast). On day I was leaving a grocery store with my son in the shopping cart. A seagull swooped down, flew in between me and my son, and took the cookie he had in his hand. He was 2 at the time and freaking out.

I have also had a seagull take a sandwich out of my daughter's hand on the beach in Myrtle Beach, SC after a family of morons started feeding them. I hate those birds!

That is so weird, what time of the day was it? Reason I ask is we were there last month and ate breakfast a few times at the BWI Bakery around 8am and we sat outside to eat, do not recall seeing any birds.

When my daughter was 5 she had some seagulls swoop down and attack the french fries she was carrying from a shop at the boardwalk at Wildwood, NJ. She dropped the fries and started crying. The man at the shop gave her more fries which he covered with foil so we could safely walk away. She still hates seagulls, she's 21 now.

I've witnessed it too. They are very aggressive and people who feed them make the situation worse. (One of the reasons Disney asks guest NOT to feed the birds.)

Another place to watch for them is the American section of Future World. We saw someone buy a Funnel Cake and they attacked. I wished people would stop feeding them. You see it all the time. But what can Disney do? There is no way to get rid of them besides killing them and no one wants that.

These stories made me think about what happened to me more than 5 years ago. I used to manage a Tim Hortons. I made myself a very delicious hand and swiss croissant sandwich and exited through the back of my store and was going to eat lunch with one of employees out back. Within walking the 150 feet outside, I had about 20 Seagulls swooning around me. She was at her car and saw the birds start to circle me. I freak out. I throw that sandwich as high as i can in the air and run! Thinking of it now makes me laugh, but it was scary, especially the thought of one of those birds getting too close for comfort.

Yeh I hate those birds... I had the same thing happen to me last year as I exited Pinnochios village house. They stole my Figaro fries!:scared1:
Boy was I ticked!:mad::mad::mad:

Sometimes the seagulls are at the dump :confused3 I asked one of the cm once when there were no seagulls around and it was just kinda weird. So used to seeing them allthe time and when there are none around, it seems like something is missing

The seagulls are so agressive. Watched them steal a hot dog once from Casey's. Anywhere there is a food stand and people feed the birds they get more and more agressive

the ducks at AK near Flame tree bite! bill? whatever, they come by and if you don't give them something they start billing you :headache:

That is really weird. I've never known seagulls to be that aggressive.

That happened to a woman at the GF this morning. She brought her breakfast outside and the birds just swooped down and took her sausage links!!

I was attacked 2x earlier this year - once in the MK, once on the Boardwalk with pizza. I didn't think seagulls were around as much now, but it's good to be careful - with many things, including ice cream and pizza!

I wish WDW could do something to keep some of these "hungry" birds away. They are really getting out of hand at Casey's where everyone feeds them. If we get food at Casey's, we will take it somewhere else along Main St. to eat it.

Seriously? Have you ever tried to feed a kid a sandwich on a beach in NJ or SC? They are very aggressive birds. They would take something out of a child's hand in a heartbeat. You have to practically cover your sandwich with a towel in between bites and even then, they still circle you. Ugh, I hate those birds.

At the tables on the boardwalk in Disney they constantly circle the people having lunch or land right next to them.

Not gulls, but at the tables out in front of the McDonalds in Downtown Disney, little squirrels will run up and bite your ankles to get you to drop food.

So keep your feet up.

We saw some pretty aggressive seagulls in front of the McD stand in Epcot. It was crazy.. my dd was freaked out that they were trying to get her fries.

Sounds just like the real boardwalk! It's a game here in NJ on the boardwalk to try and eat outside and avoid the gulls.

We were grilling hotdogs at the county park once and a gull swooped down and took a hotdog right off the grill!

They have no fear at all when they want your food.
