heads up for April 2008

Lots of GA schools have released their calendars and in the second week of April (7-11th) is going to be Spring Break. (A little known bit of trivia - most county school board members intentionally time GA Spring Breaks to coincide with the Masters Golf tournament in Augusta)

for us since this does not fall during DVC's "premier" season (as Spring Break 07 is falling). However, you may want to keep it in the back of your mind and go ahead and reserve when your window opens if you are planning to take a trip that 2nd week of April 2008 and are thinking it will be easy to get reservations since Spring Break is over by then.

Checked Friday at school about 2007-2008 school calender(now we are DVC, it is a priority). They didn't think it would come out to March, think I'll call the Board office and check.

Who knows what we'll do for SB, last year we had it 2 weeks before Easter(Super's idea). Didn't go over well, so back to around Easter this year.

We now have election days off, since all of our schools have polls in them, though it is officially for "student safety", I think the bus drivers get honked the whole community doesn't know each schools bus lane no parking hours. . We're planning our first trip home, around the May election. .
