Just checked my US Airways flight for the summer, and the flight time have changed. Wish I wouldn't have picked the flights based on the airplane. :( Went from my favorite to least favorite.

Ack! We have a flight with US Air for June. I hope ours hasn't changed. We decided not to use them for our Disney flight in Dec though.

Our times, for our June trip, did change, but not by much...20 minutes later going and 40 minutes earlier coming home. The plane, going down, changed, too. We now are on a 757. The price also went down...so we are getting vouchers for the difference!

Departing 5 minutes later on the way down and 10 minutes later on the way back.

This is the second itinerary change since I booked these flights.

Just before reading this post, I had been on the USAirways site, checking my flights for June.. I saw the times were changed and I was very confused. Now I understand why. The flight down is 20 mins. later and the flight home is 10 mins. later. Not too bad....

Mine also changed twice since I made the ressies last year. Not bad though, all together it has changed for a total of 2 hrs coming home, being later. That is a good thing. We will still be getting home at the same time, it is cutting our layover time. This scares me. I have a 8a leaving to go to Orlando, I am so afraid they will change to a later time, and I won't get to Orlando until 9p!!

Ours changed for May.
Leaving PHL 10 minutes later
Leaving MCO 40 minutes earlier.

Thanks for the heads up.

Thanks! Only affects the last leg of our return flight by 5 minutes.

I'm not sure how it works with USAir, but this past summer we flew into RDU on Delta, and they had itinerary changes. I had to work the morning we were leaving, and couldn't take the flight they had put us on, so we called, and they put us on whichever flight we wanted that day.

If the schedule doesn't work for you, you may want to call USAir and see if they can put you on a flight that does work for you.

If you mean the type of plane, last summer I booked a flight on US and paid more than I could have on another flight which landed an hour earlier. The flight I booked was a connection, there was a non-stop that was cheaper, I didn't take that one because it was an Airbus, and I refuse to get on one of those. At any rate, about a week before the trip, I noticed that they had swapped equipment, and now the direct flight (which was less expensive when I booked) was using the 757 and the one I booked was using an A3something.

So I called them up. Very nicely I explained that I had paid more and booked a connection to avoid an Airbus, but they had changed eqipment on me. I asked if I could get on the non-stop, and let them know I didn't care about the price difference, it was entirely an Airbus thing. I also told the agent that I'd take a different connection, provided it wasn't an Airbus. They graciously switched me to the direct flight with no problems.

I've also had times when they cancelled my flight and rebooked me on one much earlier or later, and they've been very good about working with me to find a suitable alternative when the one they had rebooked me on didn't work. They once refunded my entire ticket because both flights had changed--by eight hours later on the way down and five hours earlier on the way back, which for a four day trip wasn't acceptable to me. I rebooked on a different carrier with good flight times for significantly less money.

THIS HAPPENED TO ME LAST MONTH. MY FLIGHT CHANGED FROM 2:00 TO 4:30.

I SUGGEST YOU CHECK ONCE A WEEK. THATS WHAT I DID JUST TO BE SURE.

Out of curiosity, what do you have against the Airbusses? (Or by analogy with Cactus/Cacti, would they be Airbii?) I've never had any problems with an Airbus ... And they're vastly preferable to a Regional Jet (RJ)

I think their safety record (taking out human error and acts of God) is weak at best compared to other manufacturers.

Yes, Anne, I was talking about the aircraft types. I actually booked both Airbus flights, but now I'm on B737's. The Airbus A319/320/321's are my favorite, followed by the B757.

Just checked again...price went down another $20 per ticket! More vouchers on the way! We went from $201.50 to $156.70!

I like USAir's airbusses, also their 757. I am not fond of the 737. You know you are on an old plane if you are on a 737 without monitors and the FA's have to do the "safety lecture" the "old fashioned way".

757 is my fav unless goin to jamaica (red stripe is so soothing)

I gues that is another nice thing about the cheap airlines (Song, JetBlue, SWA): only one type of plane:p
