Heads up: Change to LL refreshing strategy

Visited the parks this last weekend and noticed a change to how modifying/refreshing a LL works. My wife and I used to both refresh to increase the odds of being able to snag an earlier time. This strategy no longer works, at least when using the same account.

1. Wife and I both tap a new, earlier time
2. Let’s say wife tapes the time first. On the confirmation screen, she will see the newer, earlier time.
3. On my screen, I will see the later time since I didn’t snag the earlier time. Note: I do not confirm at this point.
4. Wife now pressed button to confirm and gets an error.

It seems that me snagging the later time “replaces” the hold for the first time making it no longer valid. This most definitely used to work so something has changed since last September.

I did try using my own account and linking the tickets but we never got around trying to see if it was at an account level.

Can you be more specific when you say “me snagging the later time”? Are you both refreshing for the same ride and then she clicks an earlier time and you actually click (“snag”) a later time nearly simultaneously? Or are you refreshing and not clicking anything and she clicks the earlier time but then is unable to confirm the earlier time because you have “refreshed that earlier time away” after she tried to book it?

We are both refreshing and we both tap on the newer time. However, when the confirmation screen comes up, she has the newer time and I have a later time (I either tapped later than her or my network was slower). Then, before I tap anything on the confirmation screen, she taps to confirm on the earlier time and gets a message it was no longer available.

That is terrible! Ok I understand what you are saying now. We used to have two people refreshing a lot to modify, but these days, I seem to be the “lucky” one doing it for our family, so I have not run into this. But good to know for the future!

I do find that sometimes when I see an earlier time and try to book it, if I am too slow, my confirmation screen shows a later time, so I don’t confirm. Then if I refresh quickly, sometimes the earlier time pops back up again. Just luck or not luck, I guess!

That is terrible! Ok I understand what you are saying now. We used to have two people refreshing a lot to modify, but these days, I seem to be the “lucky” one doing it for our family, so I have not run into this. But good to know for the future!

We were not. I mention in the last paragraph that I switched to using a separate login but never got a chance to test it. I would guess that it still wouldn’t work but who knows.
