Yes, as long as it is not raining or has not recently rained He will not typically ride if the ground is wet, though we have been there every year since 2008 and I have occasionally seem him ride with damp ground conditions. He is so cool!!

I have a question.....I THOUGHT he went quite quickly......but then I saw him just kinda trot along the parade route....was I imagining things?

The party we went to it was certainly not a trot. Maybe he had to slow down after the last wipeout, either that or he was surveying the crowd for a new crown

He typically rides at a trot (anything faster is unsafe and even the trot can be dicey).

He rides at a trot. Here is a video, but it's slowed down. You can see he is at a trot though.

so I wasn't crazy!! long ago, in like 2007, he was TEARING through the parade route....or at least that's how I remember

Oh yes, he used to ride breakneck down the lane, but there must have been as wipeout so now he (or she!) is much slower.

I think they add music and effects to make it seem like he's moving faster than he really is! However, as others have said, he does move at a trot, which is nice because it gives most guests a chance to really see him (opposed to just a quick glance).
