Ok DISers - What's the best place to take a picture of the elusive Headless Horseman?

right in front of him actually he was turning in front of me as you can see.

the flag pole area in town square.

I'm a tad bit confused...
So is the parade backwards for MNSSHP?

Usually the parades head down Main Street toward the castle.
If you were standing in the flag pole area, then he is headed away from the castle up Main Street toward you...?

Could you clarify this!
I just want to make sure I'm in a good spot to see everything.

that is correct - it heads away from the castle towards the train station.

When we were last there, we were on the hub in front of the castle facing down Main Street. He entered from the Liberty Square spoke (or possibly the Adventureland spoke), came around the circle then the parade came in the same direction, ending by going down Main Street. We got some decent photos. I think they might have been better if we were in the same area, but across the street - sitting on the flagpole side, not castle side.

Ok then, I was thinking of grabbing a spot in the hub to catch the villians after the parade, but I might have to change my thoughts...

So stand in the flagpole area FACING the Castle?

Any other Tips?

The problem we had trying to take a picture of him from the side is that he's pretty speedy. By the time I was ready for him, he was long gone.

He does move pretty quickly. Maybe the castle side was better - I could see him coming and was able to position myself to get the shot. That might have been harder on the flagpole side. If you want to meet the villians afterward, I'd say be on the castle side. We got to be one of the first in line and actually had Jafar to ourselves for about three minutes.

actually, for years now, *every* parade in MK goes from frontierland to main street. the one exception is spectromagic which goes in the opposite direction.

I was definitely thinking of spectro magic...I never really watched the afternoon parades so I just kind of assumed they all went the same way!

While I can't recommend standing right in front of him, it's definitely easier to get him as he's coming towards you and not as he's going by. The second picture was taken at where the hub turns into main street (2007). He slows down and while he comes around the last of the circle, he's coming pretty much at you there. The first picture above was taken in Frontierland across from the shooting gallery (2006).

I think I'll try the flag area this year.
