Leaving Friday afternoon and going up to Mass. We're staying overnight and then going to go to Yankee Candle and then maybe over to the Butterfly garden place (never been there). What else is there to do up that way. We've only been to Yankee Candle once (last year) and we loved it. DH especially liked the Christmas villages.

For those of you who live by that way......how's the foliage right now? I'm assuming it's just about gone. Am I right? I only live about 2-2 1/2 hrs away in CT and our colors aren't that great, so I was hoping to see some nice colors. Am I too late?

I was just back home in the Berskhires last weekend and it was just approaching peak colors...it should still be beautiful! Enjoy! I miss being home this time of year! Pick some apples for me and walk on the leaves early in the am and crunch the frost for me!

Colors in central VT are gone, as I expect they are in northern MA.

There is a large mall in Holyoke, MA that you could spend some time in.

Denae

You could go down to North Hampton and walk around, or check out the University of MA campus and Amherst college and walk around that little town.

I grew up about 15 minutes from there. All the rest of my family is still up there. You will love the butterfly garden. Also as someone else suggested the Holyoke mall is huge. Enjoy! Wish I was going back home this weekend.

What do you like to do? There's Shelburne Falls, which is pretty, about half an hour away. There's also Northampton and Amherst, both of which are about 20 minutes away, and Deerfield is in between them. If you're looking for food, Northampton has a lot of good restaurants (I went to college there, so I'm fairly familiar with the area). I never went there, but the Lady Killigrew in Montague is supposed to be nice. As said, the Holyoke Mall is a big mall.
I know that DB and his family combine Yankee Candle with going to Six Flags in Agawam, so you could probably go to the Dr. Seuss display in Springfield.
