Heading to Universal Dec. 14th through 19th

We are heading to Universal this year December 14th through 19th...We are staying onsite at RPR, but I was wondering about the crowd level at this time. Is it normally very busy?

Also, does the Forbidden Journey of Harry Potter have the Express Pass Line open now for on-site hotel guests?

Any suggestions are appreciated. We will have our 4 year with us and 6 other adults. It's our 4 year olds first Universal visit (she's been to Disney twice) and my sister-in-law's first visit anywhere.

I think you will experience low crowds. Dec is generally low right up til Christmas vacation.

There is no express on FJ at all. There is early entry though which pretty much gives you one hour of express from 8-9 since it is just onsite and package holders who would be in attendance.

we will be there on the same dates, and this is our usual week to attend..due to the low crowds. we have found in the past that when you use your room key, everything is usually a walk-on. hopefully that will give us more time to wait in line for fj and rrr. hope you have fun!
