We will be staying in a two bedroom villa. IF we get the chance to choose, would you HHIR veterans recommend :thumbsup2 building 13, 14, 15, 18, 31, or another building altogether for the best views? I know that some of those have a little bit of a walk from where you can park, but if the view is worth it, we can use one of the luggage carts. DMIL and DFIL will be with us this time and we would like for them to see the best that HHIR and DVC has to offer.;)

We were in building 19 the last time we went, and even though it was really convenient to where we parked the car, and not a bad walk to any of the resorts facilities, the view from our balcony wasn't that great, although we had a good view of the marina when we came out the front door to go anywhere. We also plan to have our bikes this time so even though building 31 is the furthest away from the lobby, it is still a short bike ride if we need to go there. It would be nice to be able to sit out on the balcony popcorn:: and enjoy the view without it being really busy on the walkways below.:cool2:

We love building 18. About halfway between the Lodge and the pool. Great view and near outdoor grill.

We like bldg 18, too! I love to sit on the porch and enjoy the marsh view while pretending that it is my very own front yard - well it is for a few days whenever I can get that bldg! With a good pair of field glasses you can see what the fishermen are catching!

We were in building 13. The views of the marsh were excellent. It was far from the pool but I liked the secluded feeling.

We will have our bikes with us this trip.:scared: Is the path from the resort to the Beach House easy to locate and travel? Or with the traffic is it potentially hazardous to your health?

Our favorite buildings are 31, 29, and 27. The views of the marsh and Broad Creek are lovely there. Building 13 looks great, but we have no experience w/ that location. have a great time!:cool2:

Yes, the path is convenient and runs underneath the main road. When you get over into Palmetto Dunes where the Beach House is located, there are bike paths. It's an easy ride.

We too stayed in building 18 ded 2bdrm. It had a great view of the Marsh and was between main building and pool. Very nice. Have a great trip:goodvibes

You can easily ride your bikes to the beach house. When you leave the resort, you head towards Shelter Cove Mall; there is an underpass for Rt. 278 and then bike paths all the way through Palmetto Dunes. That's one of the great things about Hilton Head Island -- VERY bicycle friendly.

When we were there a couple of weeks ago, we noticed new, gorgeous bike paths along Pope Avenue, between Sea Pines Circle and Coligny Circle. :thumbsup2

Great to know about the new bike paths. Maybe I'm just a klutz on a bike, but now I get off and walk when on the bike path under the bridge. There are a couple sharp curves and one time I ran headlong into someone. Anyone think I might be overreacting to recommend it?

I believe 13, 14... (that row of buildings adjacent to the lodge and building 12) have larger balconies in the 2bdrm units. Also- a great view of the marsh.

I vote for these buildings too. We were in 29 last summer and loved it. Close to parking, very close to the pool. The only downside is it's a bit far to the Marina, but that wasn't a huge issue for us as we ate a lot of dinners in the room with two young kids.

Lots of great advice from everyone. We invited our DILs and my DFIL isn't really big at his age of dealing with the huge lines and waits at any restaurants we would go to on the weekends, so he has lots of meals planned for the room anyway (home made shrimp creole, BBQ and spaghetti...mmmm). Bldg 29 might be the way to go for all the things you mentioned, and we won't be worrying about the Marina either. We will ride bikes anywhere else, and they will probably drive to the Beach House to meet us if they want to join us there anyway. Should be a little quieter down on the end also.

Actually, it's buildings 14 and 15 that have the larger balconies. Building 13 is the one that's kind of isolated behind the main lodge building. (The isolation is a positive for some; extremely negative for others. ;) )

Yes, we scored building 31 when we arrived:dance3: What a great view! We are having a great time so far, and look forward to our first full day of activities tomorrow.

Oh yeah, I see that- 14 and 15. I was in building 12 and just assumed those buildings were 13 and 14. Anyway they do have nice balconies and great views. I like being close to Big Murgie's Den also.

Making lots of pics. Will post some when I get a chance! Very foggy this morning and almost couldn't see the water in the creek from the balcony. Overcast at the beach and hard at times to see any of the ocean from the beach house deck. Still, beautiful here and having a lot of fun.

Glad you are having a great time! We are still having HHI withdrawl!:sad1: We were there almost a month ago and loved our villa. We were in 2722.

Can you please tell Rich at Recreation that Lisa, Pat and Matt say hi!! Can't wait to hear all of the activities you did!! It is such a fantastic place!!!:)
