There is a good chance of rain when I will be at DL on Thursday. Any suggestions on things to do in or around DL if it does rain? I'll be me, DH and my almost 4 year old and 5 month old DS's. We will have our ca and are willing to venture a distance off property.

Thanks.

One of the best times to enjoy Disneyland is during the rain. Based on you only live 65 miles away, looks like you can do Disney at anytime.

Yeah, we're actually going to upgrade our GAD vouchers for annual passes. We have tickets to the Angels game on Friday so we were heading down Wednesday night and doing the parks Thursday and Friday, then going to the game Friday night. We also figured that the crowds would be a bit lower due to the weather not being so great. There is only a 30-40% chance of showers (at this point) so I think we are going to stick it out.

Actually according to our local ABC weatherman, Garth Kemp, there is still a slight chance of rain on Tues and Wed. but it looks like the chances are diminishing. Thursday has no chance of rain, high near 66. We may not get it at all in Anaheim (or where I live in Riv. Co)

Don't discount DLR in the rain. The parks won't be too busy and you can still ride many rides. Also the rain keeps the locals away! If it does rain check out the Animation Academy in DCA. It's all indoors and there's plenty to do-do the Animation Studio where you learn to draw a character (you get to keep your drawing) They do a new class every 1/2 hour on the 1/2 hour. The class takes about 20 min. Turtle talk with Crush is in the same building.

If it does rain it doesn't look to be a huge storm. Scattered rain. Which means it will be not raining more than it is raining.

If you don't want to go to DLR in the rain you could go to a movie (at DTD or elsewhere), bowling at Anaheim Garden Walk, check out The Discovery Zone in S.A. (have heard mixed reviews on this), or go to a mall (Main Place is pretty close)

I'm sure others will have more possible ideas. But I say if it's raining, go for it. Bring ponchos and water proof shoes (I wear my crocs in the rain) and hit more of the indoor attractions.

Have fun!

I'll be at the game on Friday night too but there's a good chance we won't be rooting for the same team :teeth:

Oh yes we will!!! We are Yankee fans through and through!! We're from NJ:goodvibes

:cool1::cool1:Woo Hoo:cool1::cool1:

I have all our Yankees clothes packed and ready to go. This will me my first time going to Angels Stadium. My DH went to a playoff game there last October and loved it. He said he was surprised at how many Yankee fans were there.

We've been to a few Yankee/Angel's games. There are usually a fair amount of Yankee fans. Once, though, the Angel's fan's were a bit rowdy to us all dressed in our Yankee's gear but I think that may have been a playoff game some years back. It's a fun stadium!

Lets go Yanks!!!

Yeah I was a little worried about that too but oh well...Yankees Rule

Have you seen this shirt?

I saw it on these boards last year and was able to order it from the NYC store. My DH will be wearing this in the parks Friday.

Sorry to say that they have increased the chance of rain on Thur. There is now a 60% of rain today (after 4 p.m. L.A.), Wed, and Thurs. And it will be cold. High 59-60. Though they aren't expecting a lot of rain. Maybe just a drizzle.I'm sure it's not because you are Yankees fans!:rotfl2:

Bundle up! (oh darn, you just might have to cover up all your Yankees gear. :sad2: )

Dizneydaz (aka Angel's fan)

Yeah-it looks like you will get rained on on Thurs. And the high will only be 59-that's pretty cold for here. Right now looking out towards the West (towards DLR) it looks like it's lightening up, though 1/2 hour ago it looked really dark that way. That's what's nice about our weather here-if you don't like it, just wait, if should blow over pretty soon.

Looks like Friday will be pretty nice weather-the better for the Angels to kick some Yankee booty! :goodvibes
