My husband and I will be traveling to Disneyland at the end of January for the Tinkerbell 1/2 Marathon (we will be both doing the 5k and I'm doing the Tink). We are going WITHOUT kids :woohoo: as it's our 10th wedding anniversary 1/16/11 and are very excited to be spending some time away from the 3 of them...lol! I'm wondering if Disney does anything special for 10th anniversaries? I mean, even if there is a cost associated? We would like to have a special dinner at some point while down there and are planning on staying at either the GC or the DL hotel. Any suggestions you guys might have would be greatly appreciated as we have never done a solo trip without the kiddos! :confused3

when you book with the hotel, let them know it's your 10th anniversary and they will organise a bunch of balloons and a signed photo from a character for your arrival. Any time you book a dinner you can tell them it's your anniversary and they'll do something special for you. Like The Grand room service or Blue bayou may write happy anniversary with chocolate on your desert plate. :)

I forgot to add that we went to Disneyland last year for our 15th anniversary without the kiddies (we have 4). It was FANTASTIC. We got so much done in such a small time because we went at grown ups pace. We ate at restaraunts and didn't have ANY drinks spilled or changes of clothes needed and did not have to take anyone to the toilet in the middle of Aladdin. LOVE my kiddies, and LOVE sharing disney with them but it was so nice to do our thing for a little while.

Also, stop by City Hall on main street to get Anniversary Buttons and show them off the whole trip!

jacs1234.....I couldn't help but laugh at your second post because although 2 of our kids are older (11 and 15), we have a 3 year old and I know EXACTLY what you mean!!! I can't imagine an entire dinner without wondering what the sticky substance on my arm is and where the puddle of "what is that??" came from, nor can I imagine going an entire hour without having to stop at some bathroom, even though he JUST went! And of course, we won't have to listen to older two argue with each other or boss around the little one.....ahhhhh......and imagine, I only had to sign up to run 13.1 miles to get away from all of that :rotfl:

Thanks for the suggestions from the both of you! And keep 'em coming! We would like to make this as special as possible since we have not time alone for 10 years (he came as a ready made family since he had a 4 1/2 year old and a 1 year old when we got married - had custody of them both and so we've never had a honeymoon or had time to ourselves :scared1:)
