OK What's going on at Target???

90% off of Christmas stuff left started last Friday;

others are reporting that SOME TOYS have been marked down either 30% or 50%.

I bought a few things at teh 75% off, but our Target had just about zippo..or at least nothing much I was interested in.

Well, C.Ann, let us know how you made out. I will live vicariously through you! I am in the same boat--can't afford anything and a friend of mine found the red Target Leapsters for 50% off at one of the local Targets. Oooohhh, I want to get one of those for DS. Does he need one? No, but I would really like to give him one for his birthday. Oh well, I just have to stay away from these shopping threads!! :charac2:

I took my grandparents to the dollar store today because they wanted to go. They spent $5.00, I spent $40.00. But I did get some stuff I had been planning on buying at another store anyway, only cheaper, so I guess that's OK.

we were there saturday and most of the christmas was gone, but we did get 2 bikes at 50% off. Both the kids had wanted new bikes for their birthdays, but at that price they had enough christmas money left to buy them themselves.

To repeat:

I don't need anything..

I don't want anything...

I can't afford anything.......

But I bought something - LOL.. :) The Lite Brite Illuminart Easel.. this thing is SO neat (battery-operated) and I really wanted to get it for my granddaughter for Christmas but didn't want to pay the prices I was seeing for it...

Well......

There it was......

The only one left on the shelf.....

All by itself.......

Looking so sad and lonely........

----------------------------------------------

How could I resist for only $12 ????? Now it's sitting here in my bedroom and the next question is, how long can I last before I actually GIVE it to her? LOL :)

Other than that I didn't see anything of much interest though.. And it's a good thing because I shouldn't be spending money anyhow!!! :earseek:

I didn't NEED anything today either, but I went anyway!

No Christmas to be found - they must have boxed it up and sent it away.

I found glow sticks in the little $1 area at the front! They are smaller than the ones in the camping aisle - 2 in a pack, 4 different colors that I found. $1 for a pack and it has some sort of a cord inside so you can hang the glow stick. I haven't opened them so I can't really report on quality, duration of glow, or brightness. I thought DS might like them to play with at the parks in the evenings.

Lots of toys 30% off, but nothing good for DS to bring on the plane so I didn't buy any.

I believe they only do the 90% Christmas for 3 days and then send it to salvage. So it was all gone after Sunday.

They still have lots of toys on sale though.

I went by my Target as well and only found 30% off on toys and no Christmas stuff left either. Didn't find anything exciting but did buy one more Sterlite bin to store all the extra Christmas stuff we bought this year. ;)

On Sunday my Target had nothing but some odd Christmas cards and a few rolls of gift wrap.

I went to my local Target looking for luggage for a trip in December. I was looking for my friends kids and I found a great deal..... I picked up each kid the following 3 piece set: a 22" wheeled bag and inside it was a 27" wheeled duffle, and a small carry on. It was orginally $30, marked down to $13, but it rang for only $6.50 for the entire set.

Also, I found the electronic Barbie shopping cart originally $69.00 for $29.98 and the electronic ATM bank on sale for $20.98... I guess I have offically started chrismtas shopping for this 2005.

I got that luggage for my 2 DS's too!! Aren't they great?? I only got mine for $13.00, but I was very happy with that price. $6.50, I'd be beside myself with excitement!!! :Pinkbounc

I'm home w/ DD(20mos) who has a fever, so we went to the Dr, found out she has an ear infection and were given a prescription. Took her right to the pharmacy at Target, gave them the prescription and the $10 coupon from this sunday's paper to use on a new or transferred prescription. While waiting the 20 minutes to fill the prescription, we checked out the clothing racks for her. I found a matching 2 piece Pooh outfit, for $4!!!! Better yet, the prescription only cost $5.88 and I got a $10 gift card. Basically, I got both for free!

Not a bad deal! Now, hopefully the medicine will kick in so that my daughter will return to her normal, happy self. :wizard:

Just had to share my deal!

I went yesterday, found lots of stuff, good thing the disney money is safe in the bank.

Mickey58725, I was looking for the luggage that you mentioned, can you describe it?

I need to say that same thing to my self every time I go to Target. So My best friend and I made a deal for every penny we spend at target on things we don't NEED we have to match it and put it in savings. That way if I have $50 to spend on junk I can only spend $25 and I have to put the other half in savings!

I can only wonder how much money I'll be spending in the new Global Bazaar area. The items are fabulous!
