Heading down from Pa..Some overnight stop questions

We have driven down with our motorhome and have stayed in hotel at times when travelling with other family members and the hotels had no problem with us leaving the trailer in the lot. Just make sure you let them know its yours.
We leave from jersey and try to make it to savannah the first day (its a long day but would rather have a much shorter drive the next day) I don't recommend driving straight through in one day, we did that once and the whole first day there you're all out of whack. I'd rather be well rested and be able to enjoy my vacation.

Are the sites there pretty level? Otherwise we'd have to unhook, right? Thanks so much for everyone's input! We appreciate it all!

My concern is leaving the tt in the hotel parking lot...Has anyone done it?:confused3

You will find all types of vehicles parked at hotels, including work trucks, trailers, even large motorhomes. I've done it once with a pop-up. As long as you are a paying customer, just find a spot out of the way to park your vehicles.

I vote a hotel stop to save all the trouble while driving.

I live near Harrisburg and go 81/77/26. It is by far the best way. Takes us abou 16 hours not counting loner stops. It can be 23 to 37 miles longer than other routes but is generally the same or less time. And I've been driving to visit Florida family since 1984. When you head south on 77 there will be some mountains but they will be no problem and are far better than going around DC or stop and go local traffic on 15 and 17. Just my opinion.

Enjoy the trip!

I've left my popup in the hotel parking lot overnight and never had an issue.

On trips where we drive all day and have to leave out early the next morning, I don't want to do a setup/tear down of the pup so we do a hotel room (Hampton Inns are the family favorite because the kids love the hard boiled eggs for breakfast that most of them have).

As others say, I park away from other vehicles sort of in the back of the lot but try to park close to a parking light and also in a spot that I can see from my room window. So it stays hooked to the TV - under the light - in plain sight - and we've had no problems.
