Headed to HHI this weekend

Anybody elese? I so need this trip, just going to relax and sleep maybe a swim eat out etc. Just so glad to be going.

We are leaving for HH this Sun. I just made a last minute reservation this morning. Two nights in a one bedroom and two nights in a two-bedroom. I wish the HH points went down this coming week like at Disney. Oh well, I feel really lucky getting a last minute ressie.

DW and I are going next month for a little get away before we head off to Disney in Dec. We were wondering why this and Vero seem to be the only resorts noone posts their vacation pictures of . I know I plan to take pictures when we get there and I am sure everyone else does also. Even on the resorts photos link on the boards they didn't get posted.

Headed to HH in Sept also. Was telling a group of work related friends today that I cannot wait to get on the porch, with a Dr. Pepper, those wonderful rocking chairs, and a trashy novel!

this is going to be a relaxing trip for Dh and I. Have had a rough summer and need time away and lots of relaxing. Looking forward to it all!

I'm leaving Sept 2nd for a week at HHI. I haven't been to the Island since the 80's, so I'm sure I'm in for a treat. The only thing I'm concerned about is finding the resort! We're driving down from NJ so it's likely to be dark when we get there. Other than that, it sounds like a nice relaxing vacation.

Fitswimmer: When you are headed in on 278, have a passenger look to your right and you'll see the red roofs. The driveway/entranceway is directly across the street from Palmetto Dunes. I think there is a traffice light there.
It is not as hard as some would make it seem. But the lack of large neon type store signs does take a little getting used to.

Just posted some from our July trip and will post more tomorrow...I'm tired. Check out my personals in Member Galleries. Maybe one of the reasons for a lack of pics from HH is that there's no catagory for HHI or VB in the DISpics list.

I think that HHI and VB are Disney's best kept secrets. Laid back, great CM's beautiful beaches, and all-round relaxation. Anybody going to HHI for the first time -- make sure you check out the dolphin encounter boat ride. It's not to be missed!! (And snooze in the hammock for me, too)!

Just got back last weekend. Even though it was only a short trip (2 nights) we had a great time. I have been posting some pics of the resort on the DVC photo thread in case any of you going want to get a warm up.
