Today was the day we all looked forward to....the Great Wall. Amazing. Great views. Fun bargaining with the vendors....for just a few bucks I got a great bunch of junky souvenirs. Lunch at the Schoolhouse at Matianyu. Very simple and delicious...a nice break from Chinese food. We also got to see a glass blowing demonstration which gave me a new appreciation for that art form. We had an un scheduled stop at the Olympic village where we had a pretty good view of the "birds next" and got to snap a few photos. Tonite, DH and I are headed to the Red Theatre to see the Kung Fu Show. My single frustration with this trip so far has been jet lag....I have had a little trouble sleeping through the night. Hopefully the end of that is near. Tomorrow is Forbidden City and Tiannamen Square followed by the flight to Chengdu.
