Headboard with bookcase questions...

I'm looking to get a new bed....I want to go from a full to a queen, but given the set up of my bedroom, the only way I can do this is with a headboard bookcase. I will lose the space that my bedside stand is, and need the contents of that stand - hence the bookcase. Here is the problem.

I love my bed with tons of pillows. Right now, there are 2 king size, 2 with shams, and 2 regular...they are all up against the current headboard. I'm thinking from looking at these headboards I will not be able to do this with my pillows....

Do they make them with doors? So I can shut the doors and put the pillows where I want them?

Anyone have a bookcase headboard?

I had one about 10 years ago with a *gasp* waterbed! I also like to sit up and sleep and worried about not being able to, I just put my pillows on one of the verticle slats and never had a problem.
Maybe get a wedge pillow...I just did this after my surgery cause it helped me sit up alittle...this might help you..I got it at BBandB

You may have a hard time finding ones that are not made for a waterbed. The popular styles are ones that resemble the traditional four post design.

I had one years ago over my bunkbed. Since the bookcase was full of stuff, I was able to lay a foam pillow over it & it didn't sink through much. A down pillow, as it's so squishy would be a problem.

You could also have a headboard made that is raised up higher, where there is an alcove underneath for your head & all the pillows.
