Headache virus thing?

I was wondering why I have had a headache every day for the last few days.....I usually only get one or two a month.

Same here. This thread gives me hope though. Hope it goes away for all of us real soon.

The headaches could also be weather related. Some people get severe headaches based on the pressure changes in the weather. Lots of areas in the country (ours) have had DRASTIC changes in the weather this week. This could cause major headaches in lots of people.

It has something to do with the barometric pressure.

This went through our family too. For the first time ever I think I was the one who brought it home. Everyone at work had been sick on and off. The headache was the worst for us too, each of us got the sore throat and my ds got a hacky cough that nothing would touch. My headache lasted 3 days and was over my right eye most of that time.

Thankfully, though it lasted a whole week before it was done noone seemed to have the throwups or anything else others were having. We all did have a low grade fever with it. We were taking so much motrin and I was taking the excedrin migraine that no fever had a chance.

Well I think mine is over and done with. No headache so far today and no other symptoms. I work in early childcare, kids were sneezing in my face, on my arms, all over me :sad2: . I usually avoid getting sick (knock wood) and when I do get sick it passes fairly quickly thank goodness.

Yesterday was the first day in a week that I actually felt human again. This has been the worst cold I ever had, I have never had my head hurt as bad as it has the past week :guilty: Good luck :)

Take 2 Excedrin Migraine and wash it down with a coke or pepsi (NOT diet). The caffeine in the soda combined with the ingredients in the Excedrin (aspirin, tylenol and caffeine) will kick out most headaches.

Hope you feel better soon!

Another variation is to grind up two or three aspirins into a powder and knock it back with a cup of strong black coffee. Works pretty quick, but you need a strong stomach! I haven't done this since my 20's.

I am so glad you posted this because my dd 11 and I have had these headaches off and on for days. I just wish they'd go away!

I have a very slight fever. No cold, but some pressure in the sinus area on one side of my face. I'm sure it's just a virus type thing. I've never had a migraine and I rarely get headaches so I'm probably just a wuss when it comes to having one.

OMG, I had the exact same thing all last week. Woke up early Monday a.m. (like 4 a.m.) with a pounding headache. When I got up for work a couple of hrs later, I still had it. Went to work and took 2 Ibuprofen and it barely touched it. I took a total of 6 Ibuprofen on Monday. I ended up having the headache all week, somedays worse than others. I never get headaches so I was concerned but my sinus' felt a little funny too so I figured it was something to do with that. I still have a "slight heavy head today" but I feel much better.

Hope you get over this quick. BTW, you're not a wuss, the headache was nasty.

I'm curious why you say not Diet soda - is it so you don't run the risk of the NutraSweet making your headache worse?
