If you have experienced the HEA dessert party on a EMH evening how did it work out for you?
I’m interested in the Plaza view party. We have a dinner reservation at 6:00 and would prefer the after dessert party but we also plan on trying to get a few rides in during EMH. We usually avoid EMH so I’m not familiar with how crowded it is.
In order to enjoy EMH is the dessert party before HEA a better idea?

I'm not necessarily a fan of MK PM EMH, FWIW, although it depends on the details.

But to your question, what time is HEA and what are the EMH hours on your evening? Also when is this, if you don't mind me asking (asking to judge if hours are likely to change down the road)?

I don’t mind you asking, it is next week ( yes there is still availability )
HEA is at 9:15 and EMH are 10:00-12:00.

We are having dinner at 6:00 in Epcot then heading to MK for the evening.

Got it, thanks.

So timing wise...

HEA is around 18 mins, so 9:33’ish. If you do the after party, you’ll then head over to the dessert area... so let’s say 9:35’ish. So 9:35’ish until whenever you’re done, the roll straight into EMH.

That seems like a legit plan to me... we’re good with 25-30 mins (or less) at the dessert area, don’t really need much more than that. If you’re one to want to camp out for an hour and enjoy the dessert offerings, that may start to creep too much into your EMH time.

FYI, Once Upon a Time is at 10pm on your night, in case you wanted to make that a part of your plan as well. From the dessert area, you can hear it / tell something is going on on the castle, but you can’t see it particularly well from there.

I agree with keeping the after party, 30min will be plenty of time for desserts and will give time for the Hub to clear out a bit too. I haven’t done evening EMHs in a long time, but reports indicate the first hour usually feels pretty full and then it may thin out.

Also, I don’t think the timing for a “before” dessert party would work with a 6pm dinner at another park. Best case scenario- if seated on time for ADR and no delays with meal, you may finish dinner by 7:15, still have to walk at least 15min out of the park if in WS, and then 30min for monorail transfer to MK. I think HEA before garden party checks in ~1.5hr early, so should be 7:45. Seems too stressful and tight of a timeline. Plus after just finishing dinner, you probably won’t be interested in eating lots of desserts.

So if you are committed to keeping the 6pm dinner at EPCOT then the After party definitely seems like the way to go

I didn't want to start a new thread, but was wondering about the AFTER Fireworks Dessert party on an After Hours night (Sept. 5th). Since this is a solo trip and I have a flight the next day, I am not planning on doing DAH.

Will they "rush" me out? Should I do the before party instead?

I really just want it to be relaxing and not have to fight the throngs of folks leaving. I am staying at BLT so walking back is my plan either way.
