Dh has requested that we eat at a restaurant where they offer steak. We were at the world last fall and had a hard time with food. :duck: So I decided to consult him this time.
I tried for Le Cellier but of course there was no availability since our trip is so soon.
I ended up making an adr at the Yachtsman, but am not sure I want to bother with a 2TS meal. I already have a CRT breakfast that is taking up 2.
So I'm looking for suggestions on a where to get a good steak. popcorn::

Can't help you with this one. I'd gladly take YSH over CRT breakfast anyday!
:)

YS is worth 2 credits. He can get a huge Porterhouse, like 28 oz. The meat is sooooo tender too. Also, you can get the chateaubriand for 2, it's 18oz of fillet medallions, comes with a side for each of you and a huge plate of mushrooms to share. Oh yeah, save room for the creme brulee!

See now that is my kind of meal. Right down to the creme brulee. I don't know why I have it stuck in my head that the Yachtsman got all kinds of bad reviews. I can't remember what I was reading. So maybe that is the place after all. I liked the idea of checking out that whole area yc/bc/boardwalk area. I haven't been over that way before.

OMGosh, YSH is sooo good. Definately do it. They cut and age everything on site and everything was delicious when we went. I agree, definately worth 2 TS credits. Enjoy!

I really appreciate all replies. I'm going to keep a list for last minute meals. When were were in there in September I was able to get a few last minute ressies, but did so somewhat blindly. At least this time I'll have some backup suggestions.

Unless you really have to do CRT (ie a young princess) then I'd give that up and go to Yachtsman Steak House. Your meal at YSH will be much nicer than what you'll get at CRT.

We do have a young princess. princess: She is 3.5 and very excited. I think we can manage to do both. We are doing the deluxe dining plan for both legs of a split stay AKL and CR. As of now we have one signature restaurant on each stay. CRT is breakfast. My kids are picky, but you can count on them to eat breakfast. I was also considering having them stay at Simba's club while dh and I go enjoy the Yachtsman. :woohoo:

I think the steaks are "Dry aged" whatever that means. All I know is it was tasty. I had the ribeye with the horseradish mashed potatoes and the Creme Brulee. Jeff had the Porterhouse and fries and the Jack Daniels Mousse cake. The girls (10 & 12 then, adults in Disney's eyes) had the Chateaubriand for two with baked potatoes and the plate of shared mushrooms that we all ate. They were allowed to get the dessert puzzle from the kids menu though. Our tab, without tip was over $200. I remember tipping over $40! The most we have ever spent(well, kinda) on a meal!
