Hi all,

I was tucking ds age 5 into bed tonight and he looked at me and asked if he could watch magic kingdom memories video tommorow.Of course i said yes and then he looked at me and said"i wish we could go back to disney world" What he does'nt know is that we are.In sept on the 28 i am picking him up from school with the trunk packed with luggage and then going to dw's job getting her and then were off to jfk airport for his surprise 6th birthday trip to disney world.I want to tell him so bad,but i want it to be a surprise too.

That's cool. I think our next trip with the kids I'd like to do this too. I'm just not sure we could pull it off - we'd be too excited just like you.

On our last trip at disney world in the cbr lobby/shop.I can't remember the cost but it is a 90 minute video about all the attractions in the magic kingdom,they also had epcot/mgm/animal kingdom.

Today my 4 yr old asked to watch a WDW show. We have several saved on the DVR so we watched one of those. Gotta love our Disney-lovin' kiddos!

I am doing the same thing!!! On September 26. I don't want to tell the kids until we are in the car going to the airport. But my kids are older (10 and 12) and I'm worried about their homework.

Tell me...how will you keep the secret that long? Help give me the strength to keep my secret that long!!!

We'll be there at the same time!! Maybe we'll run into each other!

We've done that exact surprise, picking dd up at school with her not knowing(except we drove and told them we were going to a "hotel" with no other details arrived late at night and since we were off property they still had no clue until they saw the Disneyland sign as we walked up to the front gates!!). You are gonna have soooo much fun!!!!!!!!!

Just pulled this exact suprise off in April. Loved seeing the kids faces. They thought we were taking some family to the airport. As we were getting ready to leave the house I sprung the suprise by giving them each a Disney themed camera. DD got a princess camera and DS got a Mickey camera. It was a moment of a lifetime! We had an awesome week and they both agreed it was the best suprise. They want me to suprise them again sometime- gladly!

Right before we left I went on DS9's school field trip. I had a small group of boys to take care of. After eating our lunch I needed a quiet game to play before the rest of the field trip began. I asked the boys "If they could be anywhere in the whole world, where would they be?". Three out of five said WDW including my DS. I wanted to tell him so badly that he was going!!

We had lots of small things like this happen over the course of the couple months in keeping the secret. It was hard not to tell.
