Not a cat, but I had a dog that liked to eat glass Christmas balls, and climb into the tree. We bolted the tree stand to a very thick, large piece of plywood, then tied the top to an anchor we had in the wall. We only had non glass balls on our tree for years. Sadly, dog long gone now. Only issues with the other dogs we had over the years, was drinking from the tree holder.

And SL, your cat is gorgeous. We had an orange and white, short haired tabby in the past. He lived for 22 years,
