Woo Hoo!
I am so excited to be back reading your TR's. I've been away far too long! I just finished your last TR, and stepped right onto this one.
I can hardly believe how quickly the temps are changing here in Michigan, and the delay of sunrise along with an earlier sunset.
Since we won't be back to WDW until 2013, I am looking forward to enjoying the Magic through your eyes!
I'll be watching for your updates.

It sure was! Thanks, we had wanted to add an extra night once the guys decided to join us but it was going to cost too much to change our plane tickets so it worked out great for us!

My stomach was still feeling funny from the flight and all of the panicking so I decided to head to the place where mashed potatoes taste like heaven

On our way we passed by a dinosaur

We also ducked into Pollo for a bathroom break and I know there has been a lot of talk on the DISboards about where Baby Cake is located and here it is hiding in Pollo!

I love that you can see the dinosaur tail outside the window!

Being fascinated with the tail I had to take another picture of it

What a bonehead! *hehe slaps knee*

We also passed some lego creations and you have to take pictures of these because it is a DIS law and you can't break one of those!

Was this where we were headed?

Nope back to the Lego creations

I love the Prince fighting in front of the carriage!

Time to continue walking enough of the Legos for right now

While walking we had an alien spit at us

Then we passed up some yummy chocolate

We finally made it! The mashed potatoe holy grail!!! The place where they melt on your tongue and make you feel all warm and happy inside! Where your belly thanks you profusely after eating! Where..Okay y'all get the idea that this place is fantastic and here it is!

*Cue the bright lights and hallelujah music*

Yes Wolfgang Puck Express is amazing!

We hurried inside and got in line.

This was to be Josh's first meal at Disney and I honestly couldn't think of a better place for it at DTD that fit with my tummy and was good enough to be honored with this title.

We ordered and waited for our food

The boys both had beers although I forget which kind they got

This was Josh's first meal at Disney!!

Bacon Wrapped Meatloaf - mashed potatoes, port wine sauce and crispy onion rings $14

He said it tasted a bit odd but he loved the mashed potatoes! (told you they were good!)

Mine and mom's meal we split it

Half Rotisserie Chicken - garlic butter, rosemary and mashed potatoes $15

Amazing!!!!!!! Highly recommend it!

Mom got an extra order of mashed potatoes because there was no way I was sharing that!

Garlic Mashed Potatoes $3.95

If you have four bucks and are looking for a little snack in DTD get these!!!


My dad ordered pizza

I believe it was the sausage and pepperoni pizza? It wasn't listed on All Ears so I forget but this was also very good!

After we were stuffed, we decided it was time to burn off some calories by walking around DTD! Mind you this was our first night so we didn't want to spend too much money!

Our first stop was in the Kitchen store because I had been thinking about buying a cookbook.

If you're looking for some Harry Potter but don't want to visit the Dark Side

I loved the penguin apron!

There is something oddly cute about a penguin drinking wine.

Disney always has the cutest window displays!

We walked out empty handed! I didn't find a cookbook that seemed easy enough for me I am a novice in the kitchen and the only one that seemed on my level was the kids one

Our next stop was

Now is it just me or is this a bit dirty for a Disney store?

It was odd seeing Halloween and Christmas in the same location

Loved these Duffys!!

Christmas tree + pumpkins= a confused holiday

I thought these were adorable!

Josh then had to show off how tall he was

We saw these bags and they were huge! Well my dad said "Caitlin I bet you would fit in one of those!" Well I had to test it out

Once we were done in there we headed over to the art of animation and the t shirt store. I was told Josh was making something at the t shirt store so I couldn't go over there...Well to kill time I did what I do best.. TAKE PICTURES!!

I want this in my house someday!

Josh finally finished the t shirts and we headed outside to take some pictures!

I thought Josh posing with these guys was fitting

Next up was somewhere Josh wanted to check out Once Upon A Toy

Josh let his inner child run wild and went ahead and made a light saber

The only problem was he couldn't figure it out so he needed some help

We also did some Vinylmation trading

I loved this sign!

Dad tried on a hat

I forget what the guys were doing but my mom and I sat down and relaxed for a bit.

We also stopped at the under $20 store where we made a few purchases. A dog toy for my grandma, 3 create your vinylmations for trading and this

Next up was my favorite store!

While there we had a bit of a "Situation"

Doesn't he look like he should be saying GTL and fist pumping?!

I fell in love with this bag and it was my second purchase of the trip!

We then moved on to the World of Disney

Not before seeing another gorgeous window display though!

The sun was beginning to set

We were greeted by a not so sexy version of Captain Jack

I also made my first trade that I actually liked!

Reading Meeko's TRs really made me appreciate how much theming is in the World of Disney and I noticed all of the different hands for the first time in this room!

Tinkerbell looks pretty scared

I kindly told the Genie he should probably take care of the ear hair

We left with items! My mom bought a Halloween flag but I didn't take a good picture of it so imagine a Mickey and Friends Halloween flag

We started to walk towards my other favorite store at Disney!

But first Josh's inner child was urging us to check out the T-Rex restaurant

These are adorable and I considered making one

But decided it was our first night and I didn't need to spend a ton of money

Once Josh's inner child was satisfied we continued on our way to the store

Josh thought the water looked really cool...

Then Josh decided he should pose like a homicidal maniac

We decided to pretend like that didn't happen and continue on our way dancing a bit

Dad and Josh were fascinated by these birds

My mom and I headed into Curl while my dad and Josh were entertained by this guy

I found a dress I liked but the company doesn't make my size so we were off to D Street so I could try and get that penguin!

Josh liked the birds..

Yay! We are there!

I bought one of the packages and headed outside to open it

Nope not a penguin but my dog Riley loves squirrels so I decided the sentimental value made it worth it... I won't keep you all in suspense the penguin alluded me this trip!!!

We continued on our way.. We had a House of Blues gift card and Mom was in the mood for shrimp

Mom and Dad had picked up some pretzels for us that we had enjoyed last time and we were going to use the gift card to get drinks. We figured that was a safe bet!

I do like the decor despite having made us sick!

Dad had a Mai Tai

Josh felt left out but I told him it's a normal every day drink...

There was a live musician who did a great Jason Maraz cover!

After we finished our pretzels and drinks we decided it was time to go check in to our hotel.

The Unhappiest Place on Earth

We stopped in Ride Makerz for a quick look but Josh ushered us out saying if he stayed any longer he was going to spend money!

We got to POP and mom and dad checked in. They found out we were 4th floor (ugh) in the 60s so Josh and I parked the car and lugged our luggage to our room

We unpacked then headed to the pool bar for some drinks and watched a bit of Finding Nemo Josh also spent most of the time talking about when he wants to come back Then it was time for bed we had another early day tomorrow!

Yeah mom wanted me to finish off our DTD night so we could move on to the next day. Little did she know how many pictures we had

Wow, that was a huge update! Sounds like a great way to spend your first night. That is so awesome Josh made a light saber...love it! He definitely got into the Disney spirit right away.

The Lotso vinylmation is so cute. Bummer you didn't get the penguin one you wanted though.
