We are going to WDW in August of this year and have finally decided to purchase the dining plan. So, we are thinking of cashing in 2 of our sit down meals for the Hoop De Doo Musical Revue at FW.

I am wondering several things -

first: Is it worth the money? It will be myself and DH, DD age 13 and DD age 9.

second: I thought I read here somewhere that they assign you a table based on when you made your reservation. I know you can reserve 2 years in advance, so my question is if we book now (less than 6 months in advance) are we going to get stuck in an undesirable location?

third: We'll be doing this to celebrate my birthday. Do they do anything for birthdays?

fourth: I know they have several shows each night. Is there one less crowded than the others?

Definately worth the money!!! We went for the first time two weeks ago on a Thursday at 5pm. The show was booked but I made ressies about 3-4 months out and we were right up front. It was me, DH, DD4, DS2, DD7mo, Mom and Dad. We all had a ball and the food was great!! I would go again in a heartbeat. Don't miss it!

The earlier you book the closer your table will be to the show. We are going in June and I booked my ressie in October.

Can't Wait

That's not always the case. When my friends and I booked 2 weeks out, we got a near front row table.

That's great... I hope we get a great table. It only been 25 yrs since I been there.

We have always booked several months out and have never been upstairs. I have read that the way the table are upstairs you still get a very good view. Maybe others can answer that. I have also been told the earlier you book the better seats you get. You will enjoy it I am sure. I do not recall in the 3 times we have been there that they mentioned birthdays but I do know they mention anniversaries, I believe they ask people celebrating them to stand..smjj

My first trip my table was upstairs and you had a good view of everything.
If you don't want to be picked on that the place to sit. The 2nd time our table was pretty much in the back but still good. I am hoping for an up front table this time.

Does anyone know if you can request a specific table area?

No you can't. I don't think there is a bad seat in the place though. It's not that big. We've been upstairs once, and it was fine.
