HDDR vs Mickeys BBQ

Hi everyone,

My FI and I are trying to decide between the HDDR and Mickey's BBQ. FI wants the HDDR & I want the BBQ. Do you think one is better for folks without kids, does that really matter? Let me know your opinions.

i strongly endorse HDDR! it's a great fun entertaining dinner show w/great food and unlimited beer/wine/sangria! dh and i love it almost as much (okay, maybe MORE) than the kids!

i have been tempted to try Mickey's BYBBQ but the fact that it's buffet, not served (i know i sound like a snob here, but i've read too many "it's a mod scene" posts to want to get tangled in that while trying to feed myself and two kids) and outside under a pavillion (read: no air conditioning, yes mosquitos!) have deterred me from booking it!

Have never done the BBQ, but that whole outdoor dining thing deters me! LOL!

The wine and Sangria were very good and plentiful at HDDR and we left there feeling pretty good

The food was excellent too!

We really liked the show and the service was great.

We were glad we took the bus and sang Hoop De Doo all the way home!

Without children, I wouldn't see any reason to do the BBQ. ( well, it is a little cheaper so that may be a reason ) The wee ones do like the characters, but the HDDR is probably a wiser choice if it's only going to be adults dining. We did the BBQ a couple of years ago for the benefit of our grandchildren and even they said they prefer the HDDR to the BBQ.
