If you have the DDP, do they still assign seats at HDDR based on first come, first served when calling for your ADR? We used to call like a year or more in advance and always got a table right in front of the stage. Now the timing is same as the rest of the WDW restaurants. Just wondering if it's still possible to get the best seats in the house with the new reservation timing and the DDP.

HDDR has adopted a "Tiered" seating. There are 3 tiers and they each cost a different amount. I do not have the exact details, but they are on the official web site. Tier 1 is first floor, front and center near the stage. Tier 1 does not include the DDP. Tier 2 is the rest of the 1st floor and the front and center of the balcony, and Tier 3 is the sides of the balcony.
There is about a $5 differnce in the cost of the tiers, but on the dining plan, you can not be Tier 1.

Hmmmm....can you be Tier 1 if you pay extra?

I am :sad1: about this new tiered system. I don't think we will be going to HDDMR again as we wouldn't enjoy anything but tier 1 and we always go with the DDP. I guesss that would be the same for Ohana too?
