HDDR - ADR on dining plan

Hi there

My 180 window opens on Monday and I am wondering how reservations for HDDR work if you are using the dining plan... When I play with dates online and enter a date for the total it says that my card will be charged. If you are using dining plan credits how do you secure the reservation with them? I don't see that as an option. Sorry if this is a dum question - I didn't see the answer anywhere and this will be our first onsite stay with the dining plan and I'm not exactly sure what I'm doing

If you have already paid for the dining plan I don't think they charge your card but will require a credit card guarantee. If you haven't added the DDP yet you will pay upfront.

What category are you booking only category 2 & 3 can be booked with DDP unless you are going to the latest show then I believe you can book any category.

I've had to call for CRT reservations because the website wants to charge me and isn't registering my DDP. Could be the same issue.

I booked HDDR 2 weeks ago. At first I accidentally booked the wrong category and my cc was charged. I cancelled that (cc was refunded) and rebooked the proper category and my cc was not charged. I don't remember being asked anything special, the system just knew I had a dining plan as it was linked in MDE and my cc was not charged.

PS I still had to guarantee with a cc which is standard Disney policy in case of no shows.
