HDD show - level 1 worth the money ?

We love the HDD and has always been a must do on our WDW vacations.

Both our kids are now considered adults. When we have gone to the HDD, we have always sat close to the stage.

Level 1 is close and middle tables to the stage. For the 7:15 PM HDD show it will now cost us about $62 per adult, which for our family of four adults = $248 :sad1:

:confused3 Should we pay the $248 for our night of chicken, ribs, pizza (pre-ordered) for our DD, strawberry short cake and a lot of laughs ?

Should we just do level 2 ? I know it is less expensive, but maybe only $24 less than level 1 - so not worth the difference ?

Thanks for any help !

We went through the same decision earlier this year. Since we didn't know where exactly we would be for Level 2 And we were traveling with my brother and his new wife, we all decided that the extra $5 per person was worth getting a front table for them. We were right up front and slightly to the left of center stage.

If we had just been going our immediate family, I probably would have saved a couple of bucks and done Level 2. We've been to HDD several times before.

Really, even if you are on the balcony, I think you get a great view no matter where you are.

we prefer to be upstairs..............good view of everything and ya dont have to worry about being mugged.

We did level 2 and were seated upstairs, right in the center. It was perfect.

This thread is really more about a restaurant offering than a theme park attraction, so I've moved it to the Restaurants board. :)

We had booked Tier 2 for the early show and were in the centre stage area about one or two tables from the front. I'm sure the table must have been Tier 1 and we got bumped up. We used our DDP table credits for the show.

Thanks - we do like the 1st floor. My DH has a very dry snese of humor and does not mind being part of the show. Our DS on the other hand would want to disappear if bothered. DD would go for it too.

I think we we conserve on a few meals... skip LeCellier and do a few more breakfasts than TS dinners, we can swing the 7:15 PM level 1 price.

Hey we will be in WDW and probably not return for another 3 years :goodvibes So why not splurge a bit ;)

Thanks for all the advice.

For me $5 a head was most definitely worth it. The main draw for me for the HDDR is the cheesy show, and I want to be front and center, especially with my kids! The balcony is nice if you want it a little quieter.
