HDD- pick up tickets before hand?

We have reserved tickets for the 8:30pm HDD show. When do you pick up tickets and how early do you
need to get there? Are paper tickets even necessary with magic bands? How does the whole process work- never been before.

We do HDDR every year. Yes paper tickets are necessary, they look at them when you "check in" 30 mins before the show. We get our tickets right when we check in at concierge ( on our arrival day).
Try to get there a little earlier, the bus from the parking lot to the hall sometimes takes a while.

You can pick up your tickets at any guest services, or resort concierge.

Arrive at the show 30 minutes prior. It takes time to check in, and they also have a photo op (or at least they did a few years ago). It's a little chaotic there, so if you aren't sure where to go, find a CM to ask.
