HB Plus questions....

So let me get this straight as the information I have found on the internet totally contradicts each other.

Do I have to order off the set menu at Cafe Mickey dinner? If not then I am presuming I can get the half board plus vouchers and use them at face value. Is that correct?

That leads me on to my next question. We have a group booking through a TA and they have told us that we can't add on the meal vouchers. Is this right? We are staying at the Newport Bay if that helps.

I'm not sure about the TA question but yes you can use HB vouchers at face value in Cafe Mickey, you could order off the set menu but you will have to pay the extra.

I have decided that if i can get the money together I'm going to get the Premium vouchers again, It seems i will only have to pay the lower price instead of the higher price after 9th November. I'm ringing Disney to check this later.

You only have to pick off the set menu at Cafe Mickey if you pay the set menu price (ie either pay for it in advance, but you can only do this if you've booked with Disney, or if your Travel Agent can - depending on the TA, sometimes they can't. Or if you request the set menu when you get there). You can use any type of half board voucher at Cafe Mickey at face value.

Some TA's can't add things like half board etc to your Disney booking, I don't really know why. You are staying at an onsite hotel though, so you would be able to add half board to an existing Disney booking, if you had booked direct. Might it be worth asking your TA again?

we tried to add hb last year when we went with a coach company , and couldnt do it

Ive vowed never to do coach trips again lol, so this time we have booked through disney direct and booked flights seperate

and added hb standard

woo hooo roll on 18 days lol

:cool1:

Thanks!:thumbsup2

Just spoken to DLP and they said there is no reason why we can't add the half board plus to our booking. So I shall get our trip organiser to get back onto the TA.
It doesn't appear to be a huge saving with the vouchers but it should cost a little less this way.:goodvibes
He said the face value of the HBP is 23 euros. Is that right? Do we pay in euros or pounds?

According to the information on the official site, which this thread comes from -

http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=2292635

until 9th November, adult half board plus vouchers have a face value of 24.7 euros, childs is 11.40 euros. If you're adding half board to your package, and you've paid for your package in pounds, you pay for your half board in pounds too.

I called Disney and HB prem is £157, so i decided that i'm booking them instead....now i need to decide what other place i want to eat :lmao:

Does anyone know how much breakfast is at Cafe Mickey after the 9th November, the broucher online is no help.

Why does food have to cost so much blimmin money :(

Adding it to your package, its £16 per adult, £11 per child.
Do remember to book the 2nd sitting though, especially if you don't enjoy early breakfasts :goodvibes.

I was planning on eating here at 8am, what time does the 2nd seating start? Might aswell do something when EMH isnt on :lmao:

Thanks for the price Elaine, I think i'm going to pre-pay that and the Auberge and pay cash for Cafe Mickey on the day.

It doesn't really matter what i do it just seems expensive, we will have to suffer with CS on 2 days lol.

That was my problem with the early breakfast at Cafe Mickey - I was desperate to get it over with so I could get some EMH time in.
The 2nd sitting is at 9.30am - so perfect to get your first quiet hour of EMH in, then enjoy a leisurely breakfast at Cafe Mickey with all the characters. It would also mean you'd both be so stuffed from breakfast that you might be able to miss lunch altogether :).

We don't have EMH on the day i want to eat here, but was kinda hoping for a 8am sitting. What time is the first sitting? (so much for a lay in :rotfl:)

First sitting is from 7.30 - but you can go at 8am, the characters start coming out just after 8.

Thats great, maybe we can get there just before 8 so we can get our food in before being interrupted by characters :lmao:
