The animated Japanese film "Ponyo" is getting ready to hit US theaters on August 8th, featuring a voice cast comprised of Matt Damon, Tina Fey, Cate Blanchett, Liam Neeson, Lily Tomlin, Betty White, Fankie Jonas, Noah Cyrys and Cloris Leachman. Inspired by Hans Christian Andersen's fairy tale "The Little Mermaid," "Ponyo" tells the story of a young and overeager goldfish named Ponyo (Cyrus) and her quest to become human.
The new movie is directed by the Academy Award-winning director Hayao Miyazaki (Spirited Away). It was released in Japan back in 2008 and became a box-office success.
