I booked my first and last nights in Orlando at the Hawthorn Suites Westwood Blvd. I was wondering if anyone has stayed there before and could tell me about it? I got a good rate, and the pictures look like large rooms.

I stayed there many times at the Hawthorn Suites near SeaWorld on Westwood Boulevard, most recently last May. I always had a nice stay, and even stayed there solo. :) The suites are clean and nice, with 2 TV's and a full kitchen. The place is looking like it could use a touch of rehab, like replacing the carpets, but certainly nice enough. The pool is clover-shaped and in the middle of the hotel, and we always enjoyed it. We always loved the breakfast - hot food like scrambled eggs, and all the normal fare like muffins, bagels, cereal and such.

I have gotten the hotel for as low as $59 a night, and that is a great deal for a nice suite!!! :)

Hope you enjoy your stay!

Thanks HugsForEeyore! I'm glad to hear that the food was an actual breakfast, and the rooms were clean. For our first and last nights, it sounds like it will fit the bill nicely.

We stayed at this Hawthorn Suites last June and were quite pleased. As mentioned by Hugs for Eeyore, the suites themselves could use a bit of a rehab. The carpeting/furnishings are old but our suite was VERY clean. Much cleaner than newer hotels in which we have stayed. The layout of the suites is very nice in that the bedroom is completely separate from the living room/kitchenette area, not just a room divider but a real door. The kitchenette was fully stocked with dishes, cookware, utensils for four. The public areas have been renovated. The breakfast area was good sized and there are always some hot breakfast choices as well as bagels, toast, etc. The pool area is nice and of a fairly good size. There is a kids' playground and kiddie pool along with a hot tub on the other side of the pool.

I believe we paid $58.00 night through Hotel Kingdom. We would stay there again for a price that reasonable.

Enjoy!

I don't have personal experience, but our friends and their children stayed there last April and were very pleased, especially with the rate they paid. Excellent location as well.
