My DD is turning 13 in two weeks and she's decided on a hawaiian themed party. I'd love some ideas to add to our agenda. We're having standard cookout fare (dogs, burgers, salads). I'm also making a fruit salad (acine de pepe yummy) and serving chunks of pineapple to dip in warm caramel ('Ohana anyone?
). I've bought a ton of plastic leis and tiki torches. I'm trying to find an inflatable palm tree to borrow. We've got water balloon games planned, moonbounce for the younger kids coming, a hula hoop game, trying to find some coconuts for races, and we're making koozy cup holders with luau foam stickers for everyone to take home. I'm considering a pinata but it depends on how much I spend on the food, as I've already spent a small fortune on decorations and favors.
I'm expecting around 20 or so kids and around the same # of adults.Anyone else have more ideas or tips I haven't thought of? I love parties and want my DD to have a magical 13th birthday! Thanks everyone

including a couple grass skirts! I got more decorations including a big palm tree. She is going to be so excited when she gets home from school
I also got adorable candles for 3-10 cents a piece!!!!
Sounds like a great party plan.
