Hawaii or WDW?

Hawaii; you have been to WDW. I would allow enough time to visit two or 3 islands. If you look, there are very affordable accommodations on all of the islands.

Plane fare is getting.....sky high!!

Plane fare is getting.....sky high!!

Yes, that's the expense that will make the two trips just about equal in price. The cost for the condo is pretty good and it's right on the beach. Plane fare, though, is scary!

Hands down, absolutely no competition. Hawaii. I have done both and there is no question, not even even close in my book. Go to Hawaii.

Do you really need one more poster to vote Hawaii???

Probably not, but here's another vote for Hawai'i!!!

You could always forgo Hawaii or Disneyworld and come to...

Fort Worth!

The high today will only be in the mid-90s, so exceptionally pleasant weather. The low will also be mid-90s. Humidity around 98 percent. Plenty of traffic to enjoy. A good percentage of our mosquitoes do not have that blue nile virus. Anyway, you could go to a Texas Rangers game (I think bleacher seats are only $45.00), or sit and watch the new Dallas Cowboy stadium being built (they charge only $25.00 to watch for an hour). First rate museums, although many of the oil paintings have melted some; you can still get a pretty good idea of the picture, however.

You can even stay at my house if I can stay at the Hawaiian condo on the beach. I mean, you obviously would be getting the best deal, cause you get to care for my dogs, cats and bird ( I would leave a list of the food you will have to buy for them all). Our air-condition works pretty good; of course, it has been on continuously since March 1st. We are afraid to turn it off, in case it doesn't come back on and we die.

Lei me know!

Now I will dance for you

sorry, but it's WDW for me!

have been to maui - not for me - not a "beach" girl here - don't like the ocean, get bored with sitting out on a beach, the scenery is nice but not a big deal to me.....

but disneyworld - it's everything i want in a vacation and more!!!

no choice - disney wins out every time for me!

(sorry DH - that includes vegas - another big snooze for me!)

Hawaii, no doubt. It would be a vacation you'd talk about for years. The North Shore (Bonzai Pipeline, Sunset Beach), the Arizona Memorial, Hiking Diamond Head crater, Waikiki Beach, getting Dole Whips at the Dole Pineapple Planation, etc.

Where is the condo? I can scoop it out for you if you want. I live on O'ahu near Pearl Harbor but the whole island isn't very big.

My blog has pics, etc about my life in Hawaii if you are interested. http://sparm.blogspot.com/

When my wife and I went to Hawaii we did not spend one second on a beach. Lots to do. Especially on Maui.

Go to Haleakala National Park and see the volcano. Heck, join the throng who get there early to see the sunrise.

Take a helicopter tour.

Go snorkeling.

Drive (as I did) the Hana Highway. It is not for the faint-hearted. Rent the smallest car you can!

I agree that those who go to Hawaii and sit on sand are missing out on a lot, and I guess have little imagination or curiosity.

Did I miss this? What island is the condo on?

And yeah, I'm not sure how you get bored in Hawaii. Come to Oahu, there is a crazy amount of stuff to do!! I keep my family busy for weeks when they come! (and that includes some days at the beach)

Seriously, it's gonna take me years to see what I want to see...

Hawaii! You'll have a condo so meals won't be totally outrageous. You can do breakfast in the condo and make sandwiches to take on your adventure. Basically dinner and afternoon mai tais are your only food expenditures! Yay!

Which ever island you go to definitely get the blue 'Revealed' guide book. They always seem to be on the money.

my family was actually just in this situation... actually, my parents decided on hawaii this August and I wanted to go back to Disney. I've been to hawaii once before and while it's nice, it bores me. I'm not a big outdorsy type of girl, i HATE long plane rides and Im not really the type of person that can just relax. I need stimulation.

annnndddd before you all say "well there's tons of stuff to do in hawaii"... i know. It's just not my cup of tea. I am grateful that they are paying my way to go there again and I know people would kill to be me and have the chance to go back, but honestly, I would MUCH rather go back to Disney:)

I don't know what condo it is, but it's on Maui.

You guys are making me excited! :hyper:

Maui is lovely. The beaches are not 'rough' like on Kauai, meaning you can swim and snorkle easily!

OMG my two favorite places in the world! If you have never been the by all means go to Hawaii.

We arent beach folks and loved every minute of maui! We also did Hana Highway, wow just wow on that! :rotfl2: lots to do so have fun!!!:goodvibes

Hawaii!! As much as I love Disney, I've never been to Hawaii so if I could afford to go, I'd jump at the chance! Either way, you're going to have a lovely trip. Enjoy yourself. Oh and of course, you better post pics when you get back!! ::yes::
