For graduation next year I have the choice to go to Hawaii or go on a Disney Cruise! What should I do!?Vote and explain why you voted that way. This would really help me! :thumbsup2 :sunny:

I think a Disney Cruise would be lots of fun, but since you're graduating, I would suggest Hawaii. More of an adult atmosphere there. But, that's just how I feel. Have you asked if you could have both? lol.

i voted for the Disney Cruise. if you were going on a grad trip with your friends, Cali would be better than either of those.
but if it's like a family trip, i think that a cruise would be excellent. sure disney seems oriented towards kids, but they've got their teen club (depending on how old you are during the cruise, if you're 17 or 18) which is not disney oriented, there was practically no Disney oriented stuff, well there was, just if people didn't want to do it, it never got done. And they have their adult stuff.. you should read about it. i could go on forever about it here, but i'm on a tight schedule.

It's for 8th Grade graduation!Sorry I didn't specify! Trust me,I already begged for both,it ain't gonna happen!

Disney then. The Teen Club is amazing. I just find Hawaii like every other beachy place, there's nothing to do but sun tan (and guess what, i burn) and read books on the beach. But on the cruise there is so much more to do. And don't say "I can swim with dolphins in Hawaii" cos guess what? you can do that on the cruise. only difference is there isn't any surfing in the carribean.

Hmmm...I don't think I can give a definite answer, but here are my suggestions: Hawaii is probably going to be more exspensive, and this is most likely a once-in-a-lifetime chance, while the cruise is probably an option for a later vacation. But the cruise is geared more towards kids/teens, while Hawaii is geared more towards adults. Just my thoughts! :thumbsup2

So...Did you vote Claire!?LOL

are u serious? hawaii or disney cruise for graduating 8th grade??????? no offense, but 8th grade grauation is stupid.....but, if you get to go somewhere cool, then its a different story. i would say hawaii. cuz it usually IS a once in a lifetime trip. at hawaii, u can go to the beach a lot!!!!!!! :cool1:

Hawaii. I live there. Its nice. Dont like boats.

i went on a disney cruise with my cousin for graduation and i wish we had gone to hawaii instead for sure. didn't occur to us that we would be the only early 20-somethings traveling by ourselves. people kept asking where our kids were. my cousin is very beautiful, and creepy older guys kept sending her drinks while we were relaxing by the pool, at castaway cay one day a guy followed her around trying to flirt - his daughter was only a few years younger than us! :crazy2: we loved, loved loved castaway cay - it was beautiful - but didn't like nassau and were bored on the days spent entirely on the ship. i wish i had just gone to WDW for a week instead of doing WDW for 3 days and the cruise for 4. it's great if you are traveling with a family and i'm sure it would be romantic if you are going with a significant other, but didn't work for me. :sad2:

OH i didn't read the responses, i thought you were graduating college or highschool. maybe you will enjoy the disney cruise if you go with your family then. i went to hawaii when i was 11 and didn't appreciate it half as much as i would now.

Hawaii = relaxing but could be a one in a lifetime opportunity
Disney = tons of fun but you might would have other opportunities

my vote is like Claire's... a secret

i would like to mention:
a cruise is equally expensive as hawaii. if it's a seven day you can go to the beach almost everyday and there are so many more places to visit (like the Mayan Ruins and stuff like that) all in one trip. i'm not saying you NEED a verandah to enjoy a cruise, but i'm saying, it makes it much more enjoyable. you never feel the boat rock, it's made so you are comfortable and don't feel it. and if you do at night, don't worry about being seasick, it will rock you to sleep.
Hawaii is expensive for next to nothing, basically: surfing, tanning, & swimming.

I've been to both. I'd have to say Disney because Although Hawaii is beautiful and Tanning is awesome! the beach loses it's luster while at disney it's a new adventure every day and the beauty of it is you get the complete star treatment. Nothing says "Be Our Guest" like a Big ol' boat full of disney magic!(wow that was corny!)lol
