Hawaii Help Please!

We are looking at transferring points to use to go to Hawaii in 2008 or 2009 - not sure. I want to call MS on my lunch hour tomorrow. Looking at Oahu - The Marriott Beach Resort as the other one on Oahu is too far away from anything and didn't even look pleasant. Any one done this, how easy is it, and how quick do reservations turn around and are they easy to get? My other question is, I know when we joined in 2002, our guide, Bobby stated that MS is basically my travel agent and that I do not really need anyone else and I could go anywhere my heart desired. My other choice would be a cruise but I want to do the NCL line, not Holland - Pride of Hawaii. Without us renting our points - really do not want to get involved in this, can MS work with us to book using our points and we pay the difference? Has anyone ever done this & if this is even available to us?
