Haw was Vets Day/Soap weekend?

We just returned from our 10th to 16th stay. I have a 3 year old, so we only did MK, but we had no problem at all. We went to MK on Monday and Thursday. Monday we never waited for longer than 5-10 minutes (mostly under 5) and Thursday we waited up to 20 minutes. The crowd in general was much heavier on Thursday--I am sure because it was Extra Hour day, but it was still quite managable. Monday it was very thin. Of course, keep in mind that the majority of our time was in Fantasyland.
I would definitely visit on this week again. It worked out great.

We are booked 11/7-12 next year which wold be end of Jersey week, followed by Vets Day /Soap weekend. Sounds like a bad idea given some of the replies. we are travelling with 2 smalll children. Thanks for all of your help.

Arrived 11/6. Went to Downtown Disney - very crowded.
11/7 - Epcot more crowded than any Nov. I can remember.
11/8 - Universal, also extremely crowded, long waits at the better rides like Spiderman and Men in Black. Thanks to someone who gave away their room keys, we used the FOTL and avoided it all.
11/9 - MGM for Super Soap weekend. To all the Moms who brought their kids and had them wait in the hot sun on the lines for the soap stars, I have no idea what you were thinking. For the kids on the rides it wasn't a big deal but I wouldn't go back.
11/10 - Avoided the parks - swam all day. Ohana's at night - very crowded.
11/11 - Home.

Jersey Week is always Election Day week with a huge attendance bump on the thursday and friday, and it continues until Veteran's Day Monday. Avoid those dates and you'll be fine.

We were at DW 11/3-11/10 and I thought the crowds rivaled those of the summer time...would never go during this time period again.

But tell me, what the heck is Jersey Week??????

We were there from the 8th til the 18th. For Soap weekend we went to MK on Friday(O'Hana's in PM), AK on Saturday(Cirque in PM), and stayed at the resort on Sunday the 10th. We heard that MK had 51,000 people on Sat. Don't know if that is packed or not, but it sounds like it. The rest of the week was crowded, but we didn't have to wait very long for anything. We did the park the day after EE plan, and it seemed to work well.

I would definetly say that this was not a slow time. They did however have the Christmas decorations up early, which was a nice surprise.:D

Next year Vets Day is on a Tuesday.
Would it be a good choice to arrive on Sunday, and start te parks on Monday? Or will it still be mobbed?
