Here is what I can tell you about the ones I am doing. Some people here do these and alot more so they would have more information on those. I have been doing all of the below for about a month.
MyPoints is a REALLY slow earner unless you shop online alot. They don't really have alot of options for freebies but there are offers you can sign up for there where you can earn points. I just switched my long distance because I really don't care who handles it (we never use it) so I think I may have enough to get a GC for Rainforest once that goes through.
DisneyAwards is free and can earn you probably about $30.00 in DD a quarter without every buying a thing (more if you do some shopping) but its a tough call on whether or not your DD would make it to you in time for an Oct. trip. I have three trips planned to WDW or DL between Oct and Feb so if they don't make it to me for the first one, its not that big of deal, I can always use them for the next.
Blink, by signing up for some things, I have managed to accumulate about $15.00 in about a month. I am sure by signing up for even more I would have had alot more but I was fearful I would forget to cancel them all so I am trying to do them in groups. Anyways, thats not too bad. But it seems some people have had some concern about this one maybe closing down or something. I sure hope they don't before I cash out!
The last one I am doing is Milesource. Also a relatively slow earner unless you shop but does have some "bonus" opportunities like contest entries to win miles and games where you can win up to 25,000 miles, although I have only won up to 3 so far but I can still hope.
GC cashouts here start at 3500 I believe and you can get about 20 points per day by just clicking, possibly a few more by playing the games.
I am not sure how freeride worked but they key to all of these is that if you are normally an internet shopper (like my husband likes to buy video games and books online) you will get the points for purchase and I think that is the best way you will get points. I know too that since I still need to buy plane tickets for some of my trips and hotel for others, I can get lots of points for buying those through a link on one of the sites so if you have not booked your tickets or hotel yet, be sure to book it through one of the links.
