Having trouble obtaining ADR's you thougt would be easy to get????

I booked a trip last week for 4 people for the end of August to beginning of September. I was able to get Chef Mickey's and CRT breakfast on the first try which surprised me since the trip is only 3 months away and during free dining.

However, I am not able to get an ADR for Whispering Canyon Cafe or Liberty Tree Tavern for dinner. I didn't think those would be difficult to get. Anyone else not getting ADR's they want? Anyone have an easy time getting CRT? I'm guessing someone cancelled CRT before I called.

I was just able to get LTT for a 4:30 dinner but still no luck with WCC. There are a couple of WCC dinner times available but they are at 9pm or close to 9pm.

WCC must be getting more popular or especially popular with the Free DDP. It was the one restaurant I could not fit into my four day trip although I tried several different days and this is when Free dining was first announced. Can't complain though, we were able to get Boma, LeCellier, Mama Melrose (could give or take this one but needed MGM) and Ohanas -- not bad I think.

Scored ADR to Sci-Fi, 50's PT & CRT(on my birthday no less)

My biggest problem, I badly want a Le Cellier ressie for Thursday September 20 but it's all booked up.(as a matter of fact it's booked the entire duration of my trip) I am in need of some help on how to try to get ADR's for LC. Help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

I couldn't get an ADR for dinner at Chef Mickey's unless we were willing to eat at 9pm and therefore miss the night show. Switched things around & we're going for a late breakfast instead.

PDJPrinceCharming, did you try to get an ADR for lunch at Le Cellier ?

I couldn't get LC a couple weeks ago, but i called today and got it for sept 22 for lunch at 11:40. So i would keep calling and checking.

Marivaid, I tried lunch & dinner for the entire week(September 17-23) & they came up with nothing. Just gave me the advice to keep trying.

Mrsmom, consider yourself lucky...looks like you got the last ADR for LC.

I realize that it's often very difficult or nearly impossible to do this, but if you make your ADR's exactly at your 180 day window, you will more than likely get every one you want. This works for us every time. I understand that not everyone has the flexiblity to do this. Keep calling and perhaps a cancellation will pop up. Good luck.

Called at 179 days out for our party of 9.
We could only get 3 seperate tables for LC anywhere near the dinner hour.
I'm hoping we can at least get that down to two tables close together when we check-in.
I may call every week and see if we can get 2 tables.
We had to split into two tables of 5 and 4 for Boma and Coral Reef also.

We lucked out and got all the AdR's for our entire trip Sept 13-23, and twice at LC for lunch and dinner, I just called two days ago hoping Wolf Gang Puck would be available and it was, I was surprised, thought it would be hard by now since our party is 6 of us! Good luck keeping trying.

I just booked the Tea Party for my daughter and I tried for a WCC early dinner and they had one at 5:10!! I had to cancel the WCC lunch I had due to the Tea Party and luckily that had the dinner available at the time I wanted.

We couldn't get WCC dinner ressies so we are having lunch instead then playing at Ft Wilderness for the afternoon

This is what I do too. I call in the morning of the 180 day mark! Yes...I know...I'm a Disney Dining nerd. But I've never had a problem getting the ADR's I want and usually have my pick of seating times!

It's probably a lot harder for larger parties though. I only deal with seatings for four...two if DH and I manage a grown ups only trip!

LC (dinner) is the only place we couldnt get into for our upcoming Aug. 10-16 trip. We have a lunch reservation there but are thinking of canc. and doing Coral Reef for dinner. Any thoughts??

FYI, a cast member told me to check first thing in the am or at closing for ADR cancellations......dont really know what difference it would make but thats what she said.

Also, another post I read said LC is booked for all of Aug. and Sept. for dinner. I believe that because we couldnt go any of the 6 nights we are there.

I wouldn't doubt Le Cellier is all booked up for dinner in Aug and Sept. I'll be there around the same time you will be Aug 13 - 18, and I coudn't get it on any of those days. (called a few days ago) So I settled for Coral Reef instead......which was also a bit of a challenge.
