Having trouble deciding on a resort for May

So we are heading down next May with our family and 2 others. We go more frequently than the others so they are leaving resort choice up to us. Typically we would prefer a moderate but with all the construction happening, I'm having a hard time deciding. Since POP will have queen beds in the rooms I'm throwing that in there as a potential one as well.

POR - French Quarter we love but rarely has discounts available unless I've been missing them somehow??
POR- Riverside is the only other moderate the others have stayed at and I was trying to get them somewhere new.

Thoughts? Would anyone else choose to stay at CBR or CSR knowing there is that much construction? I'm worried that will but a damper on the trip for them.

To be honest, I wouldn't book CBR during construction, especially if your main reason is to try something new. The construction seems very disruptive at that resort, especially with the lack of good food options. CSR is having construction, too, but if their main building and their food options are not being affected, then I might be willing to consider this resort.

I, personally, wouldn't want to stay at CBR with the amenities being affected.

The same is NOT happening at CSR. We just stayed at CSR in July and will likely stay again in June. You can see the construction but (at this point) it is not intrusive...we could not hear construction noise in our room, at the Dig Site, or in the main building.

Good to know about CSR. We stayed there on our last trip and was happy with it. It will be new to the others so that would work. Do we think the work there will become more intrusive or am I right in assuming it's not supposed to affect the pool or food choices?

@ajwolfe - They are going to be building a tower where 9B used to be, so I imagine that at some point it'll get louder and more noticeable. El Centro, dining, and the Dig Site will not be affected.
