Hi everyone :goodvibes

I was wondering how you go about having flowers, candy, food, etc... in a room for someone as a surprise when they get there. I would like to have flowers in my mother and grandmother's rooms as a thank you for all the help they've given us for our wedding, but if they don't assign the room numbers until the day they check in, how do I do that? Mouseweddings.com listed a bunch of cute Disney bouquets on hallmark.com, but I wasn't sure what to do. :confused3 Do you just put the resort name and address and the guest name and then they keep it at the front desk until the person checks in? I kind of wanted them to be in the room when they get there.

Also, does anyone have the contact information for the places we would call to get treats like the chocolate covered strawberries delivered. Again, do you need to have a room number to be able to place the order?

Thanks a bunch!!!!

I flew over for my 21st birthday and my parents arranged for flowers in our room when we arrived and they just called the hotel i was staying at.

Its a lovely surprise so well worth doing

We were at Disney for my son's 2nd birthday. After we got into the room, a castmember delivered a bouquet of balloons attached to a signed picture of Mickey and Minnie. They just did it. It wasn't anything that we paid for. I know sometimes they do things like this.

I was under the impression that you could no longer have items delivered to a persons room before they checked in, for security reasons. I too wanted to do this but that has been the concensus from all people I have spoken to. The best thing would be to have it delivered the next day as a surprise, that way you know the room numbers and I think it would be just as nice.

Their prices are typical Disney, but if you don't want to worry about outside vendors, you can use Disney Floral: disneyflorist.com

When I went in December I had a stocking stuffed with goodied delivered to the hotel for my DBF. But they couldn't put it in the room because we weren't checked in yet. They had it at the from counter waiting for us. It was still a nice surprise, not exactly what I wanted but good overall. I used memoriesbysarah.com she lives in Orlando and was nice. Disney Floral didn't have what I was looking for and the prices were a bit high.

Thanks! I had a feeling we might have to wait until we got there, but the first 2 days are going to be SO BUSY I was afraid I'd forget! I'm hoping the internet access at the CR will still be available so I can order them from hallmark.com. What about the food items?

I'm going to go check the prices on disneyflorist.com. Thanks for the link :goodvibes

Also ask your planner or floral planner they can arrange things as well;)

Does any one know if there is a service like Disnely Floral that services DisneyLAND. DF and I am are disneymooning on the west coast and I would love to do something like this!

Wow what a great thread.. My parents are going to ORlando for a wedding in JUne and staying at a Disney resort so I am going to see what I can do for them... Maybe some roses and goodies. Their anniversary it the month after...

When we stayed at the Poly during our last trip I really wanted to surprise my then DBF with some chocolate covered strawberries. I called room service a few days before and they said you have to wait to check in as they need room numbers and to confirm that you didn't cancel or anything. I called the night we checked in and they delivered the most gorgeous plate of chocolate covered strawberries the next afternoon and they were waiting for us when we got back from the park to change for dinner. It was a dozen huge chocolate covered strawberries, a beautiful conch shell made out of white and swirled dark chocolate filled with M&M's, and Aloha written in chocolate on the plate. I believe they charged me $35. It was so great and he was very impressed.

If you go with a company outside of Disney all they can do is leave stuff at the desk and I really wanted something to be left in the room. Good luck!

Did you just ask for the strawberries or did they give you the option of adding on the coach and the Aloha plate? I don't like Strawberries but my DF does, but I would quite like to add something that I like, pity they don't do bananas in chocolate, now that I love:love:

Thanks! That's what I will do then. Since he'll be out of the room on the morning of our wedding, maybe I'll call room service and ask them to leave them for when we get back from the reception :goodvibes

As for the flowers, I'm going to go look again and see if there are any less expensive options from Disney Floral. The ones I looked at briefly were insanely expensive!!

I called 1-714-300-PLAN to arrange delivery of a cake to my room at the Grand Californian last November. I believe they make arrangements for other special deliveries/events, not just cakes. I ordered it at least a month in advance - they didn't need my room number or anything, maybe b/c Disneyland is so much smaller than WDW?

Hope this helps! :thumbsup2

I called and asked for a half dozen chocolate covered strawberries. He kind of laughed at me and said they would be delivered the next afternoon. I don't know why he laughed but I guess maybe they don't do half a dozen? Anyways that's all I asked for and I got all of the other stuff (including 6 more strawberries than I was expecting) with only asking for half a dozen.

Thanks! I sent you one back :goodvibes

I also emailed and asked our floral manager. Here is her response:

1. Is this something we order through you or should we do it on the website?
You can order through me and we can add to your floral proposal/wedding BEO
2. Are the prices on the website accurate, or are there any DFTW, AP, or AAA discounts?
We do not offer any other discounts (unless you are Disney World cast member...)
3. How do we have them delivered to the room when room numbers aren't assigned until the day people check in?
We deliver the baskets to the front desk of each resort. After the guests check in, they will deliver the baskets to them. We are not actually allowed in guest rooms. All Star and Pop Century resorts do not have a Bell Services department, so they will let the guests know they have a package at the desk to pick up.
4. What is the delivery charge?
The delivery charge is $9.00 per resort per day, up to 10 baskets to one resort can be included in one delivery.
5. Do you put together anything else that may not be on this website that would include some snacks, cute little souvenirs like tote bags and mickey ears, fruit, etc...?
We do have the embroidered mouse ears and we offer personalization for the ears (must be a proper first name, no nicknames, etc). Fruit is apples and oranges - most other fruits need to be refrigerated or brown too easily. We can mix and match items from different baskets for you too - let me know what you would like in them and I can get you a price.
We would need the name that their room is registered to, the hotel they are staying at, the date of check in, the items you want sent and a short card message.
